French fries are no longer gluten free as they are using the fryer to fry breaded zucchini. Grilled chicken has an artificial taste. Blueberry coleslaw is bland. Cashier was knowledgable about gluten free options.
I researched before I went. They have an allergen menu. I am not positive if they have a separate fryer for the fries but their allergy list said the fries were gluten free. I ordered the grilled chicken tenders and fries. They were delicious. I am gluten free by choice.
We asked for the chicken sandwich in the lettuce bun bc there was no GF bun; the sandwich came on the brioche bun with the lettuce on the side. We asked for plain chocolate shakes and got shakes with cookie crumbles in it and what tasted like peanut butter also inside. So beware celiac and Peanut allergy patrons! Definite contamination issues!
I can’t explain why, but I am able to eat PDQ’s fried chicken tenders and fries with NO gluten reaction. I’ve been GF since July. I am Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitive and have had horrible GI issues with all other ingested gluten. I couldn’t resist PDQ, so I got 3 tenders. Nothing happened!! Is it the flour they use? I don’t know, but it’s a good thing they’re 2 hours away from me. :)
Fries were amazing, will be trying their grilled chicken sandwich on my next trip there. Employee who helped us was happy to run back and check ingredients for the milkshakes (not GF) and answer any questions he could. The tag for dessert is misleading since the milkshakes are not GF, nor are cookies for sale.. maybe if count the apple dip? Toffee nut I think, as dessert, that's GF; my boyfriend double checked because he loves the stuff.
Fries are fried separate, and the sandwiches can have lettuce wrap instead of a bun. I stay away from the milkshakes because the cross contamination from the non GF milkshakes, they always make me sick. The grilled chicken tenders are my favorite and most sauces are GF.
My favorite lunch spot! The grilled chicken tenders are so yummy and so are the sandwiches. You can always opt for a lettuce wrapped sandwich and you can never go wrong with grilled chicken. Fries are fried in a separate frier and most sauces are GF.
FRIES ARE NO LONGER GLUTEN FREE!!! We ordered as usual and specified the need for gluten free/change of gloves. Usually they are wonderful for this. Shortly after a manger came rushing out letting us know they now make fried zucchini and use the same fryers as the French fries and said their fries are no longer GF. I'm not sure if it is just this location or all PDQs as their allergen menu online still says fries are GF. Check with a manager before eating the fries!
I have a wheat allergy and eat the grilled tenders and fries all the time with no issues. You can also get the grilled sandwiches prepared as a lettuce wrap. The fries are prepared in a separate fryer and are super delicious! If you have any questions they have an allergen menu right at the registers.
