Went to this place a couple of times on our trip. Had the big green salad with balsamic vinaigrette. My server was not knowledgable on gluten free at all and said "oh so no nuts" and I had to explain to him what gluten was which was fine. But then he said "oh okay so no bread" so I had to educate further and just ask him to tell the chef. They have stuff labeled as gluten free on their breakfast menu but nothing on lunch or dinner so I just had to ask a lot of questions. I'm a new celiac so I still get nervous so not 100% confident that what I got was safe. Had breakfast there the next morning and had the veggie scramble with GF bread which actually was delicious. I felt very sick before breakfast though and afterwards and definitely got glutened the night or day before. Questioning if it was here or at the Mexican place for dinner. The smoothies are AMAZING though. They are all GF and I got the chocolate goodness one which was also DF and it was incredible, especially with a little honey added. Overall, if you are more experienced and assertive, this would be a good place to eat.
I came here because people said they were good about gluten free (I have celiac disease) but even after I talked to the manager and the server about options and marinades (some of their steak is marinated in soy sauce), they didn’t tell us until I was halfway done that the side of rice and the side of mashed potatoes both contained gluten. The manager came back out and basically blamed me for daring to order a side because “gluten free people usually just get extra veggies and don’t eat rice”. Well maybe they do if you tell them that your rice and potatoes are made with added gluten?????? Double don’t recommend for the secret gluten and the blaming.
Food was yummy and the offered GF toast. The menu didn't identify any other GF options or menu items, so you need to know what you can have and what to stay away from (not that we shouldn't know that anyway!). The quinoa, egg white scramble was really good... the toast was nothing special. I've definitely had better GF toast at home. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!
They have GF bread for sandwiches, and several nice filling meal salads (with quinoa/black beans) that are GF in addition to smoothies. They do not offer any GF pasta or wraps , to sub for the many pastas and wraps on their menu which was a disappointment. However the food was very delicious and neither my daughter or I got sick. They also have fresh juices.
Many option (sandwich/wrap) can be make with GF bread. All the salads is GF (without croutons). I take the apple, walnuts salad with chicken and balsamic vinaigrette. It was excellent. Big portion and tasteful (see my photo). My friends (no celiac) enjoy their meals too. The vibe is great too.
I dont even know why I out this as two stars. I couldn't bring myself to wait long enough to even try the food but the smoothies that took forever to make it to my table tasted bad, weren't mixed well and stull had solid chunks of frozen fruit in them. staff didn't seem to care about being nice or timely
