Waitress appeared to not understand initially regarding Celiac. Then was able to point me to two suggestions that did not contain soy sauce after I explained. One was on the lunch menu, which includes spring roll (containing gluten) and soup (all soups contain gluten after I asked about flour and soy sauce). This limited me to one choice that she suggested - shrimp in garlic sauce, which is a dinner entree. I ordered it even though it was lunch time. It was very good, plenty of shrimp, fresh vegetables, light sauce snd white rice. Prob won’t be back due to extremely limited options. No gluten free menu. Good service.

If I could I would give it no stars. We asked for a gluten free menu or advice, and the waitress was snarky and gave us an attitude, so we got up and left!!! Don’t go and give them any business.

Interesting to see others say there are many options or that almost everything can be gf. My waitress gave me very limited choices. Maybe she doesn’t know. Wish they had a printed menu so I could make an informed choice for myself. She said no appetizers, no soup, no fried rice… Short Pump had many more options. She told me “entrees only” but when I asked about items on the lunch menu (specifically General Tao’s chicken), they were able to adapt that. It was delicious and the dinner portion is huge. Good food. Good service. Maybe not good communication.

My partner has celiac and has ordered here so often they know her by name when she calls. They make all our food gluten free when we call and the service tickets always say for each item in big letters "GLUTEN FREE" with no issues.

I eat here once every 1-2 months for the last two years and I have never been glutened, and I'm extremely sensitive. They can make almost everything on the menu GF, and every server has always known which things are or are not possible. The food is excellent and I've been so happy to have real Chinese food again. The General Tso's chicken is fabulous.

My first time eating there and I won't be back. I stressed to the waitress about being celiac, but the menu even said gluten free options available so I trusted. The food I ordered was bland and they brought me "gluten free soy sauce" and by the way I'm reacting there is no way it was gluten free.
Very happy that almost all the menu could be made gluten free. Best Szechuan chicken ever!
No exclusive gluten free menu... It took me about 10 times for the waitress to understand I was ordering a gluten free, no soy sauce meal. She was unfamiliar with gluten free dishes available. The dish I ordered was not cooked as I requested. Ate just a few bites but they didn't understand my concerns. Save your time and money as this restaurant that I would suggest for celiac diners.
Please be aware, they don't have gluten free soy sauce. All the dishes had the light sauce. I got soup and I did not enjoy it at all. It is pretty pricey too, so I paid $12 for a pot of soup that I didn't care for.
First take out meal at Peter Chang's, excellent service and the food was great. Also, there gluten free item was an excellent choice.
