I’m a former employee (who also has celiac) and when I worked here, we took allergies and gluten intolerances VERY seriously. We have a separate wok and prep station for allergens, and everything gluten free gets a special plate. I’ve never been sick eating here. Not to mention the team in the kitchen is incredible! Dine with confidence — they take ALL the precautions. I highly recommend the noodle dishes; the pad Thai and Singapore noodles are the best!
I will say though, I’ve been glutened by the gf fried rice before and I know why — it’s because the servers will mix the scoops up. They have separate scoops for the fried and the white and brown rice… they’ll put the fried rice scoops with the white and brown rice scoops, contaminating the other rices. If you’re super sensitive like me, it might make you sick but if not then you should be fine.
Love the Mongolian beef with fried GF rice. They cook it separate and have awesome GF soy that they use. The manger always comes to my table to consult on my allergies (I have a couple). That fried rice is a treat!! And of course the pear saki is gf too and soo yummy. I have never gotten sick. The Shallowford location is one of the best PF Changs that I have eaten at!
Though it is part of a chain, this location has been 100% safe for me with no incidents of cross-contamination in the dozen or so times I have eaten in or had food delivered. Just make sure you order from the gluten-free menu and inform your server of your food allergies or intolerances.
One of the best customer service places we’ve been to in a long time! They have a gf menu, and although things weren’t marked df, the manager came by and made sure to customize our order. They were super friendly and helpful with everything! 100% recommend this place again if you have allergies
This has become a go-to place for me since my celiac diagnosis a few years ago. I regularly get the GF chicken fried rice or GF chicken lettuce wraps. They have always been very diligent, bringing the GF food on different dishes, labeling takeout with stickers, providing separate GF soy sauce etc.
I told the waiter my food allergies. He grabbed my menu and said he would be back with a “matrix”for me. When he came back he had a computer generated menu specific to my allergies. Unfortunately when you are allergic to Gluten, Dairy, Tomatoes, and Shellfish, there are not a lot of options but I am used to that. I really appreciated them taking the guess work out of ordering.
always tasty, never have any problems with cross-contamination. pay a little extra for the peace of mind, but worth it.
Never had a problem with GF at PF Chang's! have always had knowledgeable servers. There are several great options!
This place is amazing!! I've never had a bad experince. They are so understanding of allergies here. Its a joy to eat here.
I accidentally got a rice noodle in my food and the manager, Jeff, and the owner, Frank took the time to talk to me about how dedicated they are to keeping their kitchen free from cross contamination. Frank has read multiple books on Celiac disease to understand how gluten and cross contamination affects us and that really impressed me. They treated me very kindly and took care of our check and also gave us a gift card. I highly recommend P.F. Chang's and especially the Chattanooga, TN location.
My favorite gluten free meal! A little on the pricey side so don't eat there as much as I'd like. Lots of menu options and a very knowledgable staff! The chocolate dome dessert is a must!
My family and I eat here a lot and have good experiences. The GF menu has been expanded and we have so many choices! The server always brings out some GF soy sauce for me. The GF food is always brought out on a logo plate so if it's not, you know to question it. Great place!!
Their lemon chicken GF entree is amazing and there are no words for their chocolate dome. Mmmmm. Their lettuce wraps are also amazing.
Pretty good. With a big group of people that didn’t have to eat gf. I appreciate that they put the gf stuff on different dishes, but felt like the waiter was distracted when I talked to him which made me nervous. The fried rice was blah, but I love the lettuce wraps and no symptoms.
Although I was nervous to eat at a chain, I was craving a hot meal during a full day of flying. I checked safety protocols with the host and server, both of whom noted the clearly marked gluten free options on the menu. When my food arrived -- broccoli beef with fried rice -- my server confirmed its gf status. It was DELICIOUS and plentiful, enough to share with my non-gf honey. No issues afterward and my gut is super sensitive. There are gf vegetarian, chicken, beef and shrimp options, as well as egg drop soup and a couple of appetizers. I encourage everyone to ask questions and advocate for your needs. When it comes to gluten-filled airports, though, this PF Chang's was a satisfying option.
Personally I have never gotten sick eating at a PF Chang’s. I love that I can go here to have Chinese food which can be hard to find GF. I always get the Chang’s spicy chicken with white rice and will usually split a pad thai or other GF noodle dish with my partner. They also have an amazing happy hour at the bar with great $5 margaritas. I believe the lettuce wraps are also on the happy hour menu which can be made gluten free. I feel like the staff is very knowledgeable about gluten and handles food properly. :)
