A great choice if you are in the mood for gluten free Chinese food. Offers favorites like Pad Thai and spicy chicken. Even has GF dessert like flour less chocolate cake
For some reason I always have a reaction when I eat here. My reactions range in severity from minor inflammation to painful headache. I can't say for certain whether gluten is the issue, but it seems there are definitely some inflammatory ingredient included in the dishes - perhaps peanut oil or unknown preservatives.
This location is no longer safe. The chef has been replaced and the GM either doesn't care anymore or is new. 3 visits in a row my meal came out with gluten containing ingredients on it. The 3rd time I got glutened because I didn't see it til it was too late. All three times the server gave me attitude for sending it back, and the manager on duty did not make the situation right. Do Not Go Here! ------------ I eat here very frequently and am a celiac. of the tens of times in the last year I have eaten here I've never had a problem. all staff are extremely well trained and know how to handle gf requests with out issue. not once have I worried about my food, it is always stress free and like ordering as a 'normal' person. Lol safe and tasty option. always a good option in Boca. even when they are busy as can be.
I like them now. I didn't earlier. They screwed up once several months back but now they know me & are sure to get me gluten free soy sauce. I am also sure to say I want gluten free very loudly so there is no misinterpretation. They made up for it as best they could with free meals. As a hungry college student I decided to risk it again & luckily haven't had problems with them since.
**This review was from my last visit in late April '15, I thought I had posted a review but I guess I didn't finish it since I was writing it while I was sick. ** I don't know what happened to either this spot or PF Chang's as a whole, but I got extremely sick after eating at this location. I was eating at only dedicated GF establishments and this PF Chang's, and I can say without a question of a doubt it was the meal that I received while at this location. In fact this was the last time I had a meal at a non dedicated GF restaurant/business. I am done with putting my health at risk, I'm done with trying to figure out who, what, where got me sick. And most importantly I'm done with establishments like this not taking Celiac Disease serious or treating it like a fad diet.
some gluten free options , make sure you ask for gluten free soy sauce
Good GF menu-lots of options. Server was very nice and seemed aware of what was GF and not.
The gluten free menu is very large. They have special plates and menus for gluten free. My whole family enjoys the food!!
nothing blah about their gf menu. this is our go to restaurant when I don't feel like cooking. their attention to detail, special plates for gf, large gf menu and delicious food makes this one of our favorite gf spot.
While they do have a GF menu and I was offered GF soy sauce (actually the dumpling sauce), their food is bland. Edible but blah.
For the first time ever I do believe we got glutened at Chang's. Either that or worse. My husband isn't gluten free but he orders it with me anyway and we both felt sick after eating here with stomach cramps and the rest of it. Maybe it's cuz we went between lunch and dinner when it was super slow but the waitress pretty much forgot we were there, offered no gluten free soy sauce or any of that. Zero attention to our table most of the time we were there despite being one of three tables in the whole place. Chang's in other cities have all been way better than this, just all around disappointing but the food tasted ok.
Ordered chicken pad Thai off the gluten free menu. Explained I was a celiac and “gluten allergy” as most restaurants understand allergies as opposed to an autoimmune disease... sick before I left the restaurant... if you’re a celiac stay away!
Excellent. Dedicated GF menu and area in kitchen for food prep. Be upfront about your food requirements and they are great.
Celiac safe. Food served on special plates so you know it's GF. Extensive GF menu selection including appetizers, soup, main course, and even dessert! Never been sick at any location. A go-to when travelling.
WARNING: I got VERY sick from take out here and only ordered gluten free. One of the boxes was missing a GF label so it must have been a mixed up order. The manager didn't seem to understand what celiac disease is which is concerning. When I said I got sick from contamination he asked, "sick in what way?" I haven't had an issue with other PF Changs but will be sure to avoid this location in the future.
The manager Jeff was very nice and helped make sure all went smooth. I️ can’t have corn or gluten, which means the food choices were limited but my food was good. The staff was great!
They are great! I never have a problem when eating here and it's delicious!
they have a dedicated gluten free menu, complete from appetiser to dessert. the chocolate dome dessert was fantastic! the staff are very knowledgeable and conscious about cross contamination and would not even recommend a dreyer's vanilla ice cream on the basis that it did not have a gluten free label.
Amazing! My family has crazy allergies, me, gluten peanuts, mom gluten and fish, and my sister peanuts. They make a totally new printed menu for you, and will ask the manager. They will make sure you get what you want how you want and make sure it won't hurt/kill you. The GF cake was processed in a peanut factor and our wateress told us that he sent her back out to make sure that we knew it may have had traces of peanuts, and they double checked and everything. AMAZING.
A separate gluten free menu! Waitress was knowledgeable. No stomach hurts.
Good gluten free menu, I've never had an issue going safe for here.
I told the waiter my food allergies. He grabbed my menu and said he would be back with a “matrix”for me. When he came back he had a computer generated menu specific to my allergies. Unfortunately when you are allergic to Gluten, Dairy, Tomatoes, and Shellfish, there are not a lot of options but I am used to that. I really appreciated them taking the guess work out of ordering.
One of my favorite places to eat, however once I asked about the egg drop soup and the waiter went to he manager and came back with a paper stating it wasn't gluten free, yet it was on the gf menu. And he just said "it should be fine it might just be an outdated paper" so I would be aware of the soup.
Decent GF menu. In addition to about a dozen other options, they can do GF lettuce wraps and Mongolian Beef, which is what we typically order. GF good is served on plates that are different from gluten containing options. We've eaten here many times with our two celiac daughters.
i was looking forward to my meal when we went there last night and was SO sick afterward.
I had chicken lettuce wraps, vegetable fried rice and egg drop soup. All were amazing! The staff is really knowledgeable about gluten free. They have a dedicated wok for gluten free foods. They also place gluten free items on special plates so they are not mixed up. I brought a gluten free flourless chocolate dome for the road.
