My wife felt safe eating there but she is not a big fan of chinese food. Staff is knowledgeable and we ate there 2 times. Gf menu, hard to find parking.
Im just a limey from blighty who was very grateful to be able to eat at p f changs back in march. Im coeliac. My wife and i were going on a cruise from ft laudedale and stayed at the Hyatt Regency down the road. I did my research, found pf chang and decide we'd eat there when we arrived from the uk. I enjoyed my meal very much, thanks. Unfortunately my wife, who could eat anything as she is not coeliac, couldnt find anything she liiked on the menu. Disaster for me, but well done p f chang and thank you very much.
I'm giving this pf Chang's a three star rating because they do have a lot of gf options and as anyone with celiac knows, Chinese food is full of the sneaky wheat in soy sauce. however, this restaurant is always packed during lunch rush, generally has spotty service, has given me the regular version of a gf meal before and still gives you fortune cookies after you order a totally gf meal. get it together
Ate here numerous times and was never sick!
Lots of great options, but if you're also allergic to soy avoid this place! LOOOOOTS of soy products in their GF menu.
My server was awesome! She was very familiar with her menu and even double checked her Gluten Guide Chart in the kitchen and made sure the chefs knew my order was coming through and she informed me they will be using a completely different wok to prepare my food and served on unique place setting.
They are careful about contamination. Lots of gf choices - very good.
They have a specific GF menu you can ask for at the door. Lots of options!
My son has CD and I am used to going into restaurants and having to explain everything about cross contamination. I started to explain to our server and she was already very knowledgeable. They have a completely separate prep area and the best thing- the gluten free plates of food come out on plates with a stripe around the outside. Only the GF plates come out with this so you are assured it is safe. We had the best meal, the best server, and my son loved being able to eat chicken fried rice- something he has not had since diagnosis.
Food tastes great and they have gluten free menu and nutrician chart. I noticed several people saying they got sick and something I found out right away about them and I had never heard of is that they marinate all their meat in egg except the chicken in the lettuce wraps. I guess this is common for a lot of Chinese restaurants. So, if you have egg issues, the menu will be very limited. If you got sick here and don't know if you are sensitive to egg you might want to get tested for it.
Edited Review based off of last 2 experiences. Used to be able to trust PFC. I ended up incredibly ill following a visit. I called and told them what happened and they said they believed someone served me the wrong dish. They gave me a gift card to come back. Went back again and went to eat and the lady runs out AFTER I had taken 3 bites yelling "Dont Eat That". She rips the bowl from my table saying it wasnt gluten free. I was so angry. She then proceeded to tell me "Its not like it's a big deal". So, were never going back. I dont feel they take it serious and the service is always rude. I even let corporate know of my experience and they offered me another gift card to return which I declined.
I’ve eaten here a few times within the last year and every time our server is very knowledgeable about the gluten free options. They have separate plates for GF food so you know what’s safe when it comes to the table if you’re sharing with anyone. I’ve never gotten sick eating here.
I looooove the Mongolian beef and am so happy they make it gf. One of the bigger gf menus in the area. Consistently satisfied, good solid staff, no complaints (except on the weekends you have to pay the much higher dinner prices during the lunch hour, which is a bit more drastic of a price hike than most places). Even the fried rice can be gf!
Made me sick immediately. I informed the wait staff and manager prior to ordering. Will not eat here again as it is not GF friendly for me.
I know P.F. Changs has a so-so reputation in the GF community, but I have never had an issue with this one. They always take care with my order and bring it on a specially-marked plate - and the food is delicious (I love the pad Thai!)
Good food, staff was knowledgeable. Didn’t get sick.
I’ve been here about 5 times. 3 out of 5 times I have gotten sick. The 2 times I didn’t get sick were when I got a salad. Anything in their wok or that involves soy sauce have gotten me sick.
Overall it was great quick food. Didn't have a reaction.
I give them one star only because I have to, I ate there a little over a month ago, I told the waitress I was celiac and ordered off the gluten free menu. I got the fried rice with my meal and did not notice it was not in a gluten free dish, I got very sick, later I called the manager to let him know what happened. He seem very nice and assured me he would get with his staff and he offered to send me a gift card so I would his place another chance. I gave him my address and have yet to receive a thing
Awesome service. Great meal from GF menu but still was sick.
This has got to be the best P.F. Changs location in the inventory. My wife and I ate here last week and had incredible service and delicious food that was safe for me to eat. I highly recommend getting the Ring Of Fire sauce if you like spicy food. Our server recommended it for me and had them make some that was gluten free.
GF menu. Great service. Great food. No complaints.
I ordered the GF chicken lettuce dish, and my coworkers ordered the regular one. I could clearly see that my dish was prepared differently, it looked different and was on a different type of plate. They assured me they told the chef and that it was prepared in a dedicated wok. I felt good eating it, but it wasn’t as good as the regular was pre-celiac. Servers were very nice and understanding of my concerns.
Had a great meal! Gluten free menu, waiter was knowledgeable, The Mongolian beef and lettuce wraps, were delicious, didn't get sick the next day.
It's greasy Chinese food. But it's tasty. The staff assured me that all the gluten free food is prepared at a separate station, and the have a gf menu. When I tried to order the agave margarita, I was told it wasn't safe for me, and the waiter suggested Tito's with lime instead. I was a little surprised that the margarita wasn't safe but impressed that the staff had been trained to consider that.
