I am Celiac and Shellfish free and have visited PF Chang’s before and have had wonderful experiences. However, the Park Plaza PF Chang’s was incredibly disappointing. Once we were seated, we noticed right away that the waiter was not knowledgeable about allergies whatsoever. I mentioned I had a shellfish allergy, and before telling me what was safe, he ran away without letting us know why and returned with a list of shellfish free items that was not indicative of the full menu. He said “I don’t know” a lot, and never brought the manager over to us. We felt very unsafe, and decided to leave the establishment. Needless to say, the waitstaff was ignorant and had no idea about allergies. 0/10 experience.
I have had good experiences here, but I have also been undoubtably glutened here. One time on a take out order, my meal was labeled gluten free but they gave me the regular soy sauce on the side rather than the gluten free one. I didn’t notice until the end since I don’t use the side sauces, but after only eating the “gluten free” meal, I was sick for a few days after.
Very limited gluten free menu. 1 starter, 1 soup and about 8 mains. Service was very hurried. No sooner sat down and waitress wanted to know what we wanted to drink. Came back 2mins later to take drink order. Back with drinks, wanted food order. Main meals brought over before we had finished our starters. Then the bill, not asked if we wanted anything else. Wouldn't go back.
Fried rice and Mongolian beef were delicious! Portions are huge, had leftovers even after splitting it with my husband. Flourless chocolate cake was an extra treat!
If you are dairy free too then don't bother. The only thing they would serve me was steamed veggies, brown rice, egg drop soup or. A salad. Boring! They marinade their meat in milk apparently.
They have wonderful gluten food, even have fried options. They are also meticulously careful about gluten free,I have never had a problem at any pf changs.
Although PF Chang's is a chain, they do a very good job with gluten free. They seem to have more and more options every time I go there. One thing I wish they had more of was gluten free vegetarian options. There is really only one gf vegetarian entree option and some sides. Love their chicken lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef entree. So nice to have a soup option too!
Pretty good. With a big group of people that didn’t have to eat gf. I appreciate that they put the gf stuff on different dishes, but felt like the waiter was distracted when I talked to him which made me nervous. The fried rice was blah, but I love the lettuce wraps and no symptoms.
Although I was nervous to eat at a chain, I was craving a hot meal during a full day of flying. I checked safety protocols with the host and server, both of whom noted the clearly marked gluten free options on the menu. When my food arrived -- broccoli beef with fried rice -- my server confirmed its gf status. It was DELICIOUS and plentiful, enough to share with my non-gf honey. No issues afterward and my gut is super sensitive. There are gf vegetarian, chicken, beef and shrimp options, as well as egg drop soup and a couple of appetizers. I encourage everyone to ask questions and advocate for your needs. When it comes to gluten-filled airports, though, this PF Chang's was a satisfying option.
Personally I have never gotten sick eating at a PF Chang’s. I love that I can go here to have Chinese food which can be hard to find GF. I always get the Chang’s spicy chicken with white rice and will usually split a pad thai or other GF noodle dish with my partner. They also have an amazing happy hour at the bar with great $5 margaritas. I believe the lettuce wraps are also on the happy hour menu which can be made gluten free. I feel like the staff is very knowledgeable about gluten and handles food properly. :)
