There are several items on the menu marked GFO (gluten free option). I tried the Beef and Broccoli and the GF fried rice. Both were delicious and I did not get sick. The waiter was knowledgeable about GF and suggested the GF rice. I would normally not risk this, but glad I did.
Several options were marked as able to be made gluten free. I got GF pad thai and it was very similar to regular as far as taste. Waitress was very knowledgeable, and confirmed my food was GF when handing me the plate. Also pointed out there are special plates for GF dishes.
Gluten free items come out on white plates to keep separate. No reactions! There are 4 or 5 items that can be made gf. We all ordered a different item so we could sample each. Spicy chicken and Mongolian chicken are to die for!
No Gluten contamination, just good old fashioned food poisoning.
Service was slow as the restaurant was very busy, even for a Monday night.
We ordered 3 dishes, Shrimp Fried rice, a chicken dish, and a beef dish, to share.
At first everything seemed good, as other experiences at PF Chang restaurant's around the country. But about 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, both of us had SEVERE stomach complaints and spent the next few hours in and out of the bathroom. I cannot pinpoint the dish that was responsible, it may have been the food in general. This made both of us hesitant about eating at Chang's again. Not just a bad taste in your mouth, after a night in the bathroom.
I did not hear about anyone else having issues, but then not everyone posts reviews afterwards.
I would walk past the restaurant in search of something else next time.
GOOD LUCK, and be careful.
Edit: third time I've eaten here, and they very thoroughly contaminated everything. I'm on my HONEYMOON and this is the second establishment to make me sick. If you are celiac don't eat here.
It doesn't have a large selection for gluten free, but more than most places. GF was marked on the menu and came out on a marked plate. I really liked the dish I got, though the rice was very dry.
I would definitely recommend this place.
Tons of great GG options spelled out on a special menu. We were able to order a whole array of dishes, including several specifically gluten-free, and I loved that the GF ones come on a different style of plate so that you can easily distinguish and remember which is which. They even have gluten free chocolate "domes" (sort of like a cake) for dessert.
We had our 1st PF Changs experience tonight & it was amazing!! I am gf & df and our server, Catie, was so helpful in guiding me to which items I could eat. The house made ginger beer is gf & so good! For an app the lettuce wrap was amazing & the pad Thai was stuff dreams are made of! I can't wait to eat the leftovers. They also put all gf items on a special PF Chang plate rather than a regular plate so it's easier to identify the gf food. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing. Completely separate menu with lots of options. Shrimp fried rice was to die for. They use a different kind of plate for gluten free dishes so that everyone who touches it is aware. Server said it is loaded into a totally different computer in the back and made in a dedicated gluten free area and separate wok. I feel almost normal again .
This restaurant knows what they are doing for gluten free eating!! The plates and sauce bowls are marked differently so you know what's gluten free and regular! Our service was amazing!! Highly recommended to anyone who loves Chinese food! It's been 2+ years since I've had any Chinese food!!
Food was very good. I had the beef and broccoli with veggie fried rice from the gluten free menu. It was delicious. The food took 1 hour on Sunday night. Service was slow but this is a good place for a gluten free meal. So I'm giving my rating based on the food not the experience.
I just can't get excited about this place. Food is super salty. Last time I ate here, they told me they couldn't make the dish I wanted vegetarian- even though I've had it there before several times. I had 2 waiters, management, and a cook at my table. Way too much attention. I gave in and let them make me a different dish. Not thrilled. What do I like? That amazing flourless chocolate cake. Wine and cake is all I need from here on out. Oh and please stop charging us extra to put out food on a plate that says GF. Enough already with over charging us.
Excellent food! My daughter and I have a gluten allergy and we had an excellent meal and no issues after eating their food. Would recommend to anyone with food allergies.
great food and service....as we have come to expect at all pf changs. numerous gf options available.
Our server Brendan was awesome! Food was great, will go back!
The lettuce wraps are my favorite! They explained the design of the dishes that are kept for GF food and red bowls for the condiments only! If you are served in any other dish, don't eat it and tell your server, so comforting!
special gf menu comes on separate plates and they have gf soy sauce. excellent!
I ate here for the 1st time w/ a group of friends Wed 11/20, & I was the only GF in the group (intolerance). I called ahead, & was assured GF options (GFO) were listed on the menu & that my server would take good care of my needs. I reviewed the menu online from home, but was pleasantly surprised to see the actual menu was much larger than website. Shoutout to David, our server, & the mgr (Roy?). I had Mongolian Beef over fried rice, the GFO soup, & peach ginger hot tea. It was all delicious!!!
Gluten free options are marked, they have Mongolian beef, beef or chicken and broccoli, lettuce wraps, Mongolian tofu, pad Thai, Chang's spicy chicken, and egg drop soup, as well as chocolate souffle for dessert. I love PF Chang's and it is my favorite restaurant as a symptomatic celiac. They even have specific plates for gluten-free foods so it doesn't get mixed up or contaminated. Their food is amazing and I can't get enough of the Mongolian beef. A meal is usually about $12-16 sometimes higher so it's a little expensive but not bad and worth it 10/10.
