Excellent service and GF menu
Be very careful. They have a gluten free menu with very limited choices. I ordered steamed shrimp as an appetizer and asked if they steam it in beer. They do! My entree came served with French fries made in a fryer which is not exclusive. Wait staff is all teenagers who don't take the time needed to attend to your needs. A manager did comp half of my entree. Oh, and the men's room was filthy and had no paper towels.
I didn't opt for the buffet and got the crab meat imperial instead. It was very good and I didn't get sick at all which made me happy. They don't have a huge menu, but if you are okay with that, you can't go wrong here.
They have a limited gf menu and a list of what is gf on the buffet. I had the broiled seafood plate - a gf crab cake (!!!) shrimp skewer, scallop skewer and a piece of salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus for $33! Very good!
Buffet is marked, gluten free. Stick to those items. I did and didn't get sick. Food was good. $35.99 for the buffet.
So I took my chances with the buffet. I called ahead the day before and the manager at that time told me They had a list of items that are gluten free for the buffet. When I arrived, I asked my server for the list and she advised me that she would get the manager. After a brief wait The manager (Jennifer) came to the table and gave me the whole run down of gluten free items. Jennifer went as far as to bring me some ribs from the kitchen without the BBQ sauce. She did this because we could not determine if the BBQ sauce was gf. Jennifer Rocked
I called ahead and spoke to the chef and he was very accommodating! They have gluten free crab cakes at this location (broiled instead of fried) that are amazing! We also got peel and eat steamed shrimp appetizer and their homemade chips which are gluten free as well! I did not get sick at all. Note-I ordered the crab cake sandwich without the bun because it was cheaper. The crab cake meal was much more expensive, and much more food (included 2 crab cakes and sides).
Excellent service, the seater and waiter were gracious and somewhat knowledgeable about gluten free. Took their time getting the order correct.
Staff was not knowledgeable about gluten free items and the waitress said they had “lost” the gluten free menu. When I asked what would be safe, she said, “well, what can you usually eat?” I asked to speak to the chef or manager about options and the waitress came back saying that I could eat anything that was steamed. I had two appetizers (shrimp cocktail and steamed shrimp, mussels, and clams) in lieu of an entree and didn’t get sick, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
They have a separate gluten free menu with basic steak and fish options. When I asked how they avoid cross contamination my server informed me that they would cook my steak in a skillet. She later told me the manager actually cooked my steak himself to ensure it was gluten free. I paid $20 for a steak and 2 sides.

Phillips has a gluten free menu with rather limited selections. Servers are young and not very knowledgeable but are more than happy to ask the kitchen. I found by asking that the crab imperial is gluten free although not listed as so on the menu. All in all a wonderful meal
Had steamed mussels and clams that did not disappoint! For my dinner I had the GF crabcake salad. The crabcake was delish after sprinkling it with old bay seasoning and the arugula salad served with it was very tasty. No issues after eating here either!
I had the crab cake dinner. it was great. the sides were potatoes and squash. nothing great there. also had steamed shrimp to start. it was good. I also ate on the deck the following night. I had the crab feast. it was really good. I would visit again. visited June 2016 again. I love the crabcake. no reactions
I was given a gf menu so I thought, ok they know what to do. The server asked me if I had an allergy I said yes. He brought my salad out with croutons and I asked him to please make me a new one without them. He brought back the same salad, just the croutons picked off, it was full of crumbs. I walked out....
Options are good, staff friendly. They don't list salad dressing options though, I have to use the to-go packets that I can tell are GF with ingredient list.
Phillips has an extensive gluten-free menu and can easily accommodate my duel dairy intolerance. My server was knowledgeable but brought out a chef to speak with me to make sure my meal was prepared correctly. Had the crab cakes with roasted potatoes and spinach which were delicious. Phillips has a great gf menu, and pretty much all of it can be made dairy free too. I had the broiled seafood platter and a shrimp cocktail. Especially liked the platter- I had never had crab cakes before. Also they can make mango frozen margaritas dairy free, and they were delicious. Yummy food, knowledgeable management and servers and bonus points for the outdoor dining in a great weather.
