Delicious food, lots of options marked on menu. I mentioned celiac and they did say there is flour around in their prep area so they couldn't guarantee no cross contact but they have a dedicated fryer and seemed knowledgeable. Had the fried chicken and grits. Super tasty!! Overall great experience.

2024: Still great & still haven't gotten sick here! 2022 Review: I've been going to the original Pheobes Oltorf for a few years with no issues, and just recently had breakfast at this new location. Same menu, same positive experience, and my waitress even recognized me from Oltorf.

I can strongly recommend both Pheobe's locations for any celiacs!

Cried happy tears over my delicious lunch. I stopped by and ordered to-go from the bar. Spoke to 3 different servers, all proud of the food and knowledgeable about celiac. Their positive conviction in their food being safe and having finished a hearty delicious lunch, of fried chicken breasts and grits, with no reaction, means I will be returning to eat there again with my celiac daughter. They told me the fryer is GF and gluten is handled separately in their kitchen….that they take it seriously. Wish more restaurants could offer this type of offerings and kitchen setup. Really good gluten free fried chicken! It's so hard to find places that have dedicated friers for gluten free food. Their menu on their website also specifies which dishes are gluten free. The goat cheese grits are also incredible!
