This location seems to have closed. So disappointing as it was the one place I loved to eat at in Flagstaff. Now I don't know where I feel safe.
I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they had so many options like pizza, pasta, and more. They also had an amazing brownie and coconut ice cream that was delicious! Great place but unfortunately they told us the one in Flagstaff is closing in 2 weeks.
ALL the items are GF with an extensive Italian menu. The only option for not GF is the pizza, which you can order GF as well. The bread basket is GF, the croutons, all the pastas... pretty rare opportunity for someone with Celiac. They even offer two type of GF beer. It's. It the best food in the world but I'm not going to complain when I see my son's face light up at the possibility of having bread before entrees and ordering chicken parm! A MUST go to restaurant if in Flagstaff.
Absolutely amazing! Huge menu! Thank you for being here!
great gf menu! great gf pizza! will be back anytime I'm in flagstaff
I have Celiac and I was fine after eating here yesterday. The server was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Best gluten free crust I've ever had... and I've had more than my share of gf pizza!
We had a wonderful experience. So nice to have so many choices (apps, entrees, drinks and desserts). Excellent server! We'll be returning.
I did not experience any contamination. However the food was not good. Salad barely had any dressing on it. All I could taste was lettuce. Pasta was thick and gummy. I could hardly eat any of it.
Wow! Everything was delicious. I felt spoiled by being able to choose anything on the menu.
Excellent!! So glad my husband could pick anything! The Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna was great.
I couldn't believe the delicious pesto ravioli was gluten free! The mixed greens salad was amazing as was the gf focaccia bread!
This is the Italian food you miss. GF pasta as good as non-gf pasta in Rome. Good service, bar with gf beer and the game on. Brava!
Picazzo's is a celiac's dream restaurant! Best ravioli in the US--great pasta texture and filling and just the right amount of flavorful sauce. Toasted bread with the pasta was a nice touch. Caesar and house salads really tasty with the exact right amount of dressing. Lots of dining options. Do tell the server what order you want salads/entrees in - ours came all at once- and the service was "meh" so that's why the 4 stars.
1st time in Flagstaff but been many time at other locations in Phoenix and Sedona. Started with the Italian white bean and kale soup and finished with perfect eggplant parmigiana! SUPERB!!!!! And all 100% GF
Picazzos is a fantastic place to eat with delicious food and wonderful service.
99% gf menu, great Italian restaurant!
Amazing pizza. Very knowledgeable. Server was great. Go there.
It's so nice to be able to find a place where I can eat and not have to worry about cc. We're on our first road trip since I've been diagnosed. Pizza was good and fresh. Deserts are gf also, which is rare. Tiramisu for me!!
Wonderful to have so many options for my daughter with celiac to choose from & felt safe eating whatever she wanted due to their careful consideration of cross contamination risk. Whole family enjoyed the food.
Amazingly delicious gf pizza! I am so grateful for this restaurant. No reaction!!!!
Absolutely the best! My Celiac son could order anything! It was awesome!
I am very lucky I do not have gluten (celiac) problems however, my wife does. I only eat gluten free stuff since that's the only thing my wife can eat. I have a stomach of a Ox but do enjoy the gluten free menu. This place was so amazing, never eaten a pizza that was so flavorful and just felt right eating. The different ingredients we added was just crazy. Every bite, we were like, Wow! Wow! I'm definitely coming back! The staff were very nice as well and just knew how to handle Gluten Free requests! Ha
OHhhh MYyy Goshhh... where do I begin this place is above & beyond AMAZING! 1st off I'm Gluten sensitive & they accommodated with an entire menu of GF food, not to mention::: dairy free, allergy free, free of GMO's, nitrate free, antibiotic/hormone free, RbST, and SOoo much more! This food is worth every penny. It's not just safe for eating & aiding those who suffer from food allergies but it's clean/organic living-your health matters & you are what you eat, so why not eat fresh of all the BS! I created my own GF pizza & the taste/the flavors, and the next day of NOT feeling sick was the more reason for me to come BACK AGAIN! Picazzo's is best of Phoenix winner for all those reasons! ENJOY, real authentic quality food. Fine dining with your health in mind!
Had to eat here one last time! The food and service here is always fantastic. Moving out of Flagstaff (after 40 years here) to Sparks, NV. Going to really miss this place.
It was so nice going to a restaurant and being able to order almost anything on the menu. Instead of having to tell them to make things gluten free, here you have to tell them not to. It's a bit pricey but our entrees were good and the brownie was delicious.
Food is excellent. It is very celiac friendly considering that the only non-gluten free items are their non-gluten free pizzas. They keep very dedicated and are knowledgable about everyone's needs. Has a nice atmosphere and is overall a great place to eat.
Unlike most places that have a regular menu and a few GF items, here everything is GF with only 1 exception. (You can get regular pizza made in a separate oven)
The best dinner I have had through many weeks of traveling. Very nice dining experience. No cross contamination because it's a gluten free establishment. I highly recommend having at least one meal there. YOU WILL LOVE IT! And the price was reasonable.
Driving to the Grand Canyon and found this gem. Kids portion Mac and cheese was small so order regular. Wish this restaurant was in the northeast. Very busy so other food must have been good too!
Awesome knowlage for Celiac. The whole menu is gluten free, and the pizza is baked in a special oven. And for those who want gluten, they have a oven just for that. I could not recommend this restaurant more!!
The staff was friendly, and very helpful. I told the first person who seated me I am celiac and forgot to tell the waiter, when our food was brought out our server cough me just in time and remade my order no cost, Great Service!
We were lucky to find a place that was safe for my son who has celiac disease. The staff was great. Wonderful service, delicious food. It was nice to share a completely gluten free meal as a family. Will be back when we visit Flagstaff again.
From the bruschetta to the pizza, everything was wonderful. It was such a joy eating at a restaurant that was completely safe for me, yet with food my gluten-eating husband enjoyed.
After everyone's wonderful reviews we went and ate dinner here during our stay in Flagstaff. Everything on the menu is GF with the exception of having to tell them on the pizza crust. Everything was so delicious! I had the cheese ravioli with pesto sauce and we shared GF brownie with ice cream and Carmel sauce drizzle. It's a must stop!
A fabulous find while on vacation. So many GF/DF options--- even coconut ice cream to go w/ GF brownie. Salads are tremendous--- so fresh and tasty. GF pizza crust is so much better than anything I've purchased or made. Any thoughts of opening an east coast franchise??? PLEASE???
Best place ever! They had the biggest GF menu we have ever seen. There was pizza, all sorts of pasta including ravioli, lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs, homemade GF bread, GF croutons for salads, GF soup, and a whole list of GF desserts! The service was good and it was delicious. The menu was a tad pricey but totally worth it with so many options and not getting sick at all. I wish we lived in Arizona just so we could eat here more!
Great food. The best gf I have had. No issues at all. We had Chicken Alfredo pizza. We also enjoyed the brownie and ice cream with carmel sauce. was amazing.
HUGE gluten free menu. Pizza, pasta, appetizers, and entrees. I recommend the five cheese ravioli with pesto sauce.
three of the nine of us are gf so it was a little risky taking the whole clan to eat but it was a success!!! everything was delicious!!
Amazing! Wonderful food, service, and everything could be GF. It was great not having to worry about cross contamination etc...
Holy pasta, this place was amazing! Seriously. I'm gluten intolerant (very sensitive) and this was the first time I've had fresh-made pasta in years, and one of the few times I've been able to have stuffed pasta. Fresh-made, gluten-free, stuffed pasta! I had the 5-cheese ravioli with pesto sauce and it was delicious!!! My kids didn't find much on the menu to be excited about, but one's a picky eater and we'd all been on the road for two days. I really recommend this restaurant, whether you're gluten-intolerant or not. It's just that good. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Delicious! We got the Alfredo Ham and Bacon pizza, and MAN! It was the best pizza I've ever had. Anything can be made Gluten-free, and the whole restaurant is designed around keeping the gluten free food safe.
Always many choices, great attention to service, and most of all, great food
My favorite GF restaurant in Flagstaff. Happy Hour includes half off the delicious GF appetizer menu. The pizzas, salads and even GF desserts always satisfy me and my family.
Really nice place with so much options all of them gluten free! I tried the Alfredo pizza and was one oz the best GF pizzas I ever had. The pear and blue cheese salad was very tasty and very well dessed. The cookie with ice cream for dessert to die for, definitely save some room for the dessert! ;p
My dishes and dessert were delicious, excellent wait person. This is a great place!!!!
We are on vacation and this is the best restaurant that we have come across yet. Great gluten free Italian food , bread and pasta, also wonderful salad. All freshly made and no stomach issues.
Gluten - free and delicious. You don't ever feel like you're having to settle. Service is excellent. I prefer the gluten free crust to the normal. SO good.
wonderful food, great tasting pizza, pasta, salad and desserts.
The entire menu is gluten free. (They can make a gluten pizza for your friend:) The menu is extensive. I’ve been several times now and everything is great. Highly recommend for serious celiac like myself.
Great variety of foods to pick from that are gf without having to be modified! Server asked about food allergies/issues before placing order with kitchen-didn’t have to make the point. Food was very good and fresh tasting! Great to see gf beers and desserts on menu! Family friendly, neighborhood vibe, modern decor. We will be back!
Great food, great service! Entire menu and restaurant is GF except for a couple of pizzas. They also asked if I have any other food allergies to note on the ticket. It was nice to have a worry-free meal for once!! It is a touch expensive, but a small price to pay for peace of mind.
We have eaten at Picazzo’s in Sedona a few times and enjoyed it very much. The Glendale location did not disappoint. I was traveling solo this trip and I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere as I ate my lunch before catching my flight. So many amazing gluten free options!
We ordered 2 pizzas. One was great but the other had been rolled out super thin & the crust was like a dry cracker. But it was celiac safe, even Nima tested.
Gluten-free done delicious....Full menu is gluten-free, Italian favorites like Lasagne Bolognese, Spinach Cannolini and Pizza, all are so flavorful, the pasta is tender and their portions are ample. They do offer some Vegan and I believe DF items as well. This has to be one of our favorites. Our son flies here from MA and this is the first place he wants to visit. If you visit once, you will become a regular too!
This is our new favorite place! Everything is gf (from bread to pasta to cookies/brownies) except for pizza which is offered gf and regular (baked in separate ovens, of course). They offer a wide range of delicious options and the kids menu is phenomenal (includes drink, side and gf dessert). My celiac daughter and non-celiac son both consider this their absolute favorite restaurant. Wish this chain would spread to locations back east!
Amazing menu. Food as it should be....but without gluten. Have gone back several times. Entire family enjoys it and I’m the only GF one. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Just need more locations. One near Ray Road and Signal Butte would be great. ;-)
The whole menu is gluten free! We had cheese bread, pizzas and pastas and they were SO good! We couldn’t believe it was all GF! Staff was very knowledgeable on the menu and very helpful. They have vegan and dairy free options as well! Our kids loved it and are begging to back!
Love this place. They are my family’s go to place for gatherings as I’m celiac and my sister is vegan. I found them 10 years ago when first diagnosed and never looked back. Management and staff are extremely friendly and remember their regulars well. If I could I’d eat there weekly!
Went here three times on vacation- worth the $!
This place was AWESOME! We had one with Celiac and three without. We all got the lunch specials. I had the daily specialty pizza which was bacon, chicken, garlic sauce, cheese, fresh basil and cranberries. It was so good! We also got the Asian chicken salad and finished it off with GF tiramasu which was delicious. The service was super fast and friendly , and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!
It is so wonderful to eat in a dedicated GF restaurant. I haven't experienced that degree of heaven before now. Add in the fact that the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, and you have my Number One reason to move to Phoenix. The Foccacia bread is insanely delicious. I could come here and just have the half loaf order plus a glass of white wine at their very nicely priced Happy Hour and be superbly happy. But one must eat a balanced meal- and there's nothing on this terrific menu that would harm a Gf gal. I must be GF and dairy free, and I had lots of delicious choices. So happy.
This place was So. Good. They say that 99% of the menu is GF, and the only thing that we can think the remaining 1% would be is the selection of beer (which, by the way, was the only disappointment of the visit -- would have loved to have a better beer selection). It was so refreshing to walk into a restaurant where I didn't have to worry about what I ordered. Homemade noodles? Yum. Baked brie? Fantastic. Tiramisu? Delicious! I remarked to my wife and our server that this was probably the best gluten-free meal I have had since being diagnosed with celiac 9 months ago. We're just here on vacation, but will certainly visit again when we're down here next year!
Everything in restaurant is gluten free. For non GF customers they can order non GF pizza crust if they want. I had GF pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. It was delicious. I had raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. I highly recommend the Scottsdale Arizona location.
I’m new to being Celiac, I found out I had Celiac Disease May 2017 about a year ago, it’s been one of the hardest struggles changing my diet. About a year later it’s made improvements I can’t even imagine. I used to be super scared of going out to eat and getting cross contaminated but this restaurant guaranteed no cross contamination will be in my food. Best food and desert ever. EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS GLUTEN FREE
i’ve been to several picazzo’s locations and this one is definitely a brand new baby— they’ve got some growing to do, but a lot of potential and some great staff. there seems to always be at least one issue with our order when we go, but they are quick to fix it and i’ve never been glutened (which is my priority— i can forgive most other errors). unfortunately, we had a different server than usual on a recent visit. we wanted salads without croutons because they contain egg, and when the salads arrived with croutons, the server asked if we could just pick off the croutons. i expect that kind of ignorance at any other restaurant, but not one that specializes in serving people with food allergies. i was really disappointed. she had them remake the salads when we asked, but we shouldn’t have had to ask. this location is so convenient compared to the others, but i’m a little frustrated that they aren’t improving since they first opened. we’ve visited 3 times so far and had some problems with our orders each time, but we have NEVER been glutened. (i’ve never been glutened at any Picazzo’s and i consider this chain the safest restaurant for celiacs out of all places that also serve gluten.) however: we’ve been served chicken flesh instead of vegan chicken. we’ve received nonvegan bread despite stressing we are gf and vegan. we’ve gotten cheese when requesting no cheese. (the waitstaff has been great— i see their notes. it’s the people making the food that need to be more careful.) everything is fixed quickly, but that chicken incident grossed me out. the server stressed that it’s unacceptable to have these errors because they do specialize in special diets— so they get the importance of this. but the fact that mistakes happened on 3 visits now is a bit of a bummer. however, again, i have NEVER been glutened— not even when eating with someone who was incapable of avoiding gluten for even one meal, so even with mixed orders, they do well. i absolutely will keep going back to this location as long as they continue to approve while continuing to not gluten me.
