It is so wonderful to eat in a dedicated GF restaurant. I haven't experienced that degree of heaven before now. Add in the fact that the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, and you have my Number One reason to move to Phoenix. The Foccacia bread is insanely delicious. I could come here and just have the half loaf order plus a glass of white wine at their very nicely priced Happy Hour and be superbly happy. But one must eat a balanced meal- and there's nothing on this terrific menu that would harm a Gf gal. I must be GF and dairy free, and I had lots of delicious choices. So happy.
Lots and lots of gf options, great awareness. But food was just ok and found it overpriced.
Unreal. Love these folks.
We really enjoyed our dinner. I had had the gluten-free pizza. The crust was good, but a bit fluffy and the cauliflower Alfredo was excellent. Apple walnut salad-was good. We ordered the focaccia, I would not call it for focaccia, but just sliced bread it had no herbs and not flat like focaccia. I would come back though.
Awesome restaurant for those with celiac. Almost everything is GF and they are very clear about what is not. Great selection of food and drinks.
Amazing GF food. Almost everything is GF. A few years back they had both GF pasta and regular. They got so good at GF that they just do all GF now. The folks that don’t need to eat GF are just as satisfied(they can’t tell). We travel all over the country and this is by far our favorite place for GF variety and taste!! The Scottsdale and Sedona one’s are also good. We eat here two or three times a year when we are in AZ, probably 30 times over the years, and have never been disappointed.
The BBQ chicken pizza was delicious! Most of the menu is gf. Our server, Luke was very nice and very knowledgeable. Great options!
Amazing place and soooo many options!
Spendy, but delicious.
Wonderful menu. Had dedicated GF pizza oven. Pretty much everything is GF & yet can get nonGF pizzas too. Prices reasonable. Definitely would return if in area
We have eaten here several times. My son has celiac and we are very nervous about eating out. We have had no issues here. It's one of our "go to" places.
Amazing GF place with oodles of options - pasta, pizza, great entrees, salads, appetizers. It's a chain, so check for other locations that could be closer to you if needed.
We were visiting Phoenix and heard about Picazzo. Their menu is mainly GF, dedicated GF pizza oven. Everything we ordered was delicious and safely prepared since there is very little gluten in the kitchen. Great kids menu too. Where else can you get cheesy bread as an app and Gf cheese raviolis?!!
We are visiting Phoenix on vacation. We brought our gf family of 4 and could not have been happier! An extensive fully gf menu wow! Our orders were as follows. Pesto ravioli, thai peanut pasta, children's ravioli, and BBQ pizza as well as appetizer of Baked brie and half order of gf focaccia. Amazing! Go you won't be sorry!
Excellent meal! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free. Very allergy friendly. They even have fresh gluten free pasta!
I used to eat here when we lived in the area 5+ years ago. So happy that it's basically the same still. Just better! Amazing food and no reaction. I love being able to eat "real" foods like pasta dishes, desserts, and more. I highly recommend any Picazzo's location!
Last month I visited and enjoyed an organic, gluten-free pizza at the Flagstaff location. Yesterday, I found myself in the Valley and couldn't resist giving the Tempe/Chandler kitchen a try. FANTASTICO! The entire experience was top-notch . . . from ordering to eating to chatting with staff to leaving with a happy belly. A little more topping would have been welcome, but all-in-all the pizza was delicious and filled with guilt-free ingredients. Yet, what made my experience exceptional was the service. The staff made me feel like a king. They were friendly and attentive, without being intrusive and seemed sincere when they asked, "Do you like your pie, Sir?" I had a nice chat with the waitstaff about eating organic and choosing cool toys for toddlers, then I left with a happy belly. I give Picazzo's Organic Italian Kitchen a short, but savory recommendation, and I look forward to my next trip to this location. Note: I'm a professional reviewer for other services and products, but this one is a freebie. I really enjoyed eating here and simply had to write a piccolo (I think this means little).
Best gf restaurant chain in area. Love the one in Scottsdale. Went to chandlers locale with family. Service might have been the worst I have ever experienced. Lost my reservation (twice) and once seated, food took an hour to arrive. Desert took another 30 minutes after ordering. Managed was miffed when experience was shared.
SIMPLY AWESOME! 1st visit 1/5/16. I'm celiac and had no issues. Pizza crust was amazing. Update after my return from Philadelphia 5 months after 1st visit. The GF eggplant Parmesan was amazing as was the fresh GF focaccia bread. Plans to make several more visits before I return to the Northeast. Please open a restaurant in Philadelphia!!!!!
We love to come here and know that all of the food is GF. The pizza's are great, but my daughters favorite is the Ravioli (either cheese or butternut squash).
Picazzo's, please come to San Diego. enjoyed a great meal. had the spaghetti and meatballs, pasta with butter and parmesan (kid friendly) and a wedge salad. all glutten free and delicious. voted best glutten free restaurant in 2015.
Amazing menu and no worries!!
This is a fabulous find! Great tasting food. Entire restaurant is GF with the exception of one pizza crust which they prepare in an entirely different kitchen! Love it!
Wonderful gluten free pizza, chicken picatta, and brussel sprouts with bacon and toot vegs.
it's nice to have some pasta options that are gluten free but unfortunately I have had multiple reactions after eating here. They are supposed to know better since most of their menu is gluten free.
The only item on the menu that HAS gluten is one of their pizza crusts. Everything thing else is gluten free and mostly organic and locally obtained.
Love the selection! We come here whenever we visit Arizona. The food is excellent. Best place to eat at as a celiac.
This is the best gluten free restaurant for Celiac. Most everything on the menu is gluten free including a dedicated stone oven for gluten free pizza!!! We don't have to worry about cross contamination. We love this place and eat her several times when we are in town. We wish there were more Picazzos!!
The absolute best place for truly GF food. 100% gf kitchen, and amazing selection of everything Italian that you never thought you'd eat again.
This place is amazing. They truely care about health and taste. So many great things. Everyone is knowledgeable about cross contamination and more than half their menu is already GF so that helps.
Everything I've ever had here (dozens of times) had been absolutely amazing. Things I've dreamt would be gluten free are possibilities here: stuffed tortellini, sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts. The restaurant is all gf, organic, non gmo and you will not find artificial sugars for your organic iced tea. The only thing I'm dreaming of for them to add to their menu is a chicken and shrimp calzone with Alfredo and for desert carrot cake my husband favorite.
We have eaten here three times so far with my daughter who has celiacs disease. She is two and very picky. She loves the pizza and Mac n cheese. My husband and I love that she is able to eat anything on our table instead of being paranoid every time we eat out. Thank you for a wonderful experience we will continue to eat here when we visit AZ.
All pastas ar GF. There was a wide choice. The pizza crust was one of the best GF crusts I've had. Even my husband, who is not GF, enjoyed the crust. The only bad thing to say was that the kitchen messed up the order and tried to serve a non-GF pizza crust. The eagle eye server, even as busy as she was, caught it before it was even out of the kitchen and they remade the pie. I ate more than I have any a long time.....Highly reccomend this place.
I've only had one menu item here so far but it was outstanding! Good Italian food doesn't come easy for GF people but I found it here.
It's so nice to be able to order anything, even lasagna!! I probably annoyed the server because I kept asking if certain items were GF because I just couldn't believe it.
Amazing to find an entire menu that is GF (other than the pizzas which need to be specified to be GF). Great taste, great service. What more can you ask for.
Awesome food and knowledgeable staff.... Just be clear with them if you are celiac.... They take extra precautions and it's really good food.
Tons of variety but I have had a bad reaction multiple times so beware if you are very sensitive
Amazing. Do not miss a chance to eat here.
Great place for a Celiac! Huge menu and they take care with cross contamination.
I absolutely LOVE Picazzo's! The staff is VERY knowledgable about GF, DF and even soy-free needs and all of their pizzas can be made with DF cheese :D I had the tarragon chicken pizza and the skillet cookie- both of which were amazing! The cookie even comes with DF coconut ice cream if yore DF like me :)
This place was So. Good. They say that 99% of the menu is GF, and the only thing that we can think the remaining 1% would be is the selection of beer (which, by the way, was the only disappointment of the visit -- would have loved to have a better beer selection). It was so refreshing to walk into a restaurant where I didn't have to worry about what I ordered. Homemade noodles? Yum. Baked brie? Fantastic. Tiramisu? Delicious! I remarked to my wife and our server that this was probably the best gluten-free meal I have had since being diagnosed with celiac 9 months ago. We're just here on vacation, but will certainly visit again when we're down here next year!
Everything in restaurant is gluten free. For non GF customers they can order non GF pizza crust if they want. I had GF pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. It was delicious. I had raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. I highly recommend the Scottsdale Arizona location.
I’m new to being Celiac, I found out I had Celiac Disease May 2017 about a year ago, it’s been one of the hardest struggles changing my diet. About a year later it’s made improvements I can’t even imagine. I used to be super scared of going out to eat and getting cross contaminated but this restaurant guaranteed no cross contamination will be in my food. Best food and desert ever. EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS GLUTEN FREE
i’ve been to several picazzo’s locations and this one is definitely a brand new baby— they’ve got some growing to do, but a lot of potential and some great staff. there seems to always be at least one issue with our order when we go, but they are quick to fix it and i’ve never been glutened (which is my priority— i can forgive most other errors). unfortunately, we had a different server than usual on a recent visit. we wanted salads without croutons because they contain egg, and when the salads arrived with croutons, the server asked if we could just pick off the croutons. i expect that kind of ignorance at any other restaurant, but not one that specializes in serving people with food allergies. i was really disappointed. she had them remake the salads when we asked, but we shouldn’t have had to ask. this location is so convenient compared to the others, but i’m a little frustrated that they aren’t improving since they first opened. we’ve visited 3 times so far and had some problems with our orders each time, but we have NEVER been glutened. (i’ve never been glutened at any Picazzo’s and i consider this chain the safest restaurant for celiacs out of all places that also serve gluten.) however: we’ve been served chicken flesh instead of vegan chicken. we’ve received nonvegan bread despite stressing we are gf and vegan. we’ve gotten cheese when requesting no cheese. (the waitstaff has been great— i see their notes. it’s the people making the food that need to be more careful.) everything is fixed quickly, but that chicken incident grossed me out. the server stressed that it’s unacceptable to have these errors because they do specialize in special diets— so they get the importance of this. but the fact that mistakes happened on 3 visits now is a bit of a bummer. however, again, i have NEVER been glutened— not even when eating with someone who was incapable of avoiding gluten for even one meal, so even with mixed orders, they do well. i absolutely will keep going back to this location as long as they continue to approve while continuing to not gluten me.
Great selections - entire menu is gf!!! So awesome to go out and know that my daughter can safely order anything on the menu - desserts included! We had pasta, salads, chicken strips, cheese bread, meatballs, brownies, and a cookie. It was all delicious!!
Amazing Gluten free food and dairy free also and I believe the other major allergies. The pizza is incredible and this last time I had chicken parmigiana that was both gluten and dairy free and it was wonderful. Every time I go, I have to have their exceptional NY style cheezecake, which you would never know is gluten and dairy free. In fact other people I was with couldn't believe it wasn't! Everyone was happy with their meals, although this last time there was a problem with the Chicken Picasa but the wonderful staff took care of everything. They are always very friendly and eager to help and all seem to be very knowledgeable. This is by far, my favorite Gluten free restaurant... and not just in Arizona. Go and enjoy, you won't regret it.
We took our daughter to eat here and I will never forget her response. She is 8 years old and when the waitress told her everything on the menu except 2 items is gluten free, my poor girl burst into tears. She has never been able to order whatever she wanted off a menu. She’s never been handed a kids menu and actually gotten to pick from every item on it. The food was delicious and our family will return here often!
AMAZING!!!!! We were in Phoenix for 2 1/2 days and we ate here twice because it was so good. They do offer non-gf pizzas, but other than that, the entire menu is gluten free. And they are very accommodating for dairy allergies as well. The Bigoli pasta was cooked perfectly. Best pasta I've had. The desserts were great and could easily be dairy free as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I was so excited to read that Picazzo's opened up a new location. It is so amazing to go out to eat knowing that we won't get sick from accidentally eating gluten or getting cross-contaminated food all while eating delicious food. My son even forgot that nearly all of the food is gf and when my celiac daughter asked for a bite of his mac and cheese he said no at first because he didn't remember it was gf. Now that's a great compliment! We live in Colorado, but will definitely be dining at the Glendale location whenever we are in town visiting family. Thanks, Picazzo's.
Great kid meals, wonderful pizza, heaven for celiacs.
Thought I found my GF Italian restaurant, but no. We ordered GF pizza and GF pasta, both of which were not very good. Typical GF tastes. Wish it were better.
Delicious!! Had the slice of the week (chicken, cranberries, rosemary, basil, fresh motzerrala) and Caesar salad combo and it was fabulous. We will have to come back for the tiramisu later. We had it a few years ago when we were in town and it was so yummy!
Chicken Parmesan was very very good. Staff knowledgeable of gf options. Give it a try.
We have eaten here many times and my daughter who has celiac disease has never gotten sick. Great food, lots of choices, and knowledgeable staff. This is our go to place!
I enjoyed their delicious gluten free chicken parmesan...with their house made gluten free foccacia bread! I ordered wine but noticed gluten free beer on the menu. My friends & I shared a yummy gluten free brownie which was served in a small cast iron skillet with a small side of ice cream...enough for 3 of us. I love having so many choices @ Picazzo's and can't wait for their new location to open, which will be closer to me, at 83rd Ave & Union Hills.
Love this restaurant! They are super conscious about dietary needs from gluten free to dairy free. They go above and beyond and always ask if you want gluten free options. Amazing, fresh food and awesome desserts too!
It's so nice to have a place where you don't have to worry.
I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they had so many options like pizza, pasta, and more. They also had an amazing brownie and coconut ice cream that was delicious! Great place but unfortunately they told us the one in Flagstaff is closing in 2 weeks.
ALL the items are GF with an extensive Italian menu. The only option for not GF is the pizza, which you can order GF as well. The bread basket is GF, the croutons, all the pastas... pretty rare opportunity for someone with Celiac. They even offer two type of GF beer. It's. It the best food in the world but I'm not going to complain when I see my son's face light up at the possibility of having bread before entrees and ordering chicken parm! A MUST go to restaurant if in Flagstaff.
We visited here 3 times on our recent trip to Scottsdale. Awesome for my daughter to be able to eat off the menu and feel safe! Wonderful servers too!
