Great gf bread and had a few gf pastry options (not many). Had the tuna sandwich and chips and chili, SO GOOD!

I got a turkey sandwich on gluten free bread and chips. They also had gluten free baked goods but the girl at the counter said they were made in the same kitchen as all of the other baked goods so maybe not the most celiac friendly

I’m pretty sure I got glutened here on Sunday. I ordered the chicken sandwich on the gluten free bread. The girl taking our ordered ask if it was because of an allergy. I said yes and she said that she would inform the kitchen staff. The bread came out looking suspiciously soft and fluffy. But one of the last reviews mentioned that the bread was soft so I ate it anyways. My stomach was upset and in pain for nearly 8 hours after eating here.

I asked about the GF bread. It is brand name Pure Knead. Small company that sells commercial only. You can buy it at Kroger. They warmed my bread up in oven, not in toaster. Their homemade fudge is also GF and delish!
My husband popped over to order some take out, as I was resting at our hotel after a long hot day of walking. We looked up GF friendly restaurants and this had decent reviews on this app. Well, the hours listed on here said they were open until 7 and their website said 6:30, however when he arrived at 5:45, the kitchen was closed early for a business meeting. Unprofessional but okay…. they did said he could still order coffee and pastries. So, being the sweetest, he decided to bring me a gluten-free treat. They sell GF peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies. He bought 2 of each for us. I was so excited to try them, especially the peanut butter. Well… underwhelmed is putting my reaction lightly. I don’t know what in the “Cookie Monster Hell” is in these things but I don’t think sugar was an item in the recipe. No rich buttery taste, no succulent brown sugar, just sadness. The texture is kinda soft and chewy but not in a good way, more in a kitchen sponge kinda way. The chocolate chips were the only redeeming factor. Seriously, they were the strangest cookies I have ever tried. You can eat them, but why? I am giving them 3 stars because I do appreciate the effort. I hope they will try some new recipes and improve in the future.

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch at Picnic Cafe. The staff was very friendly. I had the Quiche and my daughter had the pinto cheese gluten free sandwich plate. We also purchased a pound of chicken salad, a peanut butter cookie and a GF chocolate chip cookie. The food was wonderful. It was nice to have good GF options. the sandwich bread was really good.

I ordered 2 scoops egg salad-no bread. When food arrived it had homemade croutons. I then informed them I was gluten free. They took it back and returned with GF bread which was delish! Yay! Very nice!

The tomato bisque was amazing!! The best i think I’ve ever had. They have gluten free bread but I did not try it. They use the same toaster as the other breads so it is cross contaminated. The waitress was also gluten free and knew the difference when it comes to celiac. Fruit was super fresh and the salad was tasty too. Cute atmosphere. They also had gluten free chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. I’ll be back to pick up a cookie. Edit. Went back for cookies. Both the chocolate chip and peanut butter were good. Chocolate chip was better. Peanut butter cookie could have been a little sweeter. They do bake their own gluten free bread. I may have to go back to try it.
