Dedicated GF restaurant, with some wonderful hard to find options like fried chicken and tempura fish. It's also refined sugar free, peanut free and seed oil free.

The vegetarian options are a bit thin though, so check the menu before if looking for those. It is a bit pricey as well, ~$20/plate before drinks or tip.

Absolutely amazing food! The chicken sandwich was super crispy and actually had some kick to it! The sesame bun is sooooo good! This absolutely hit the spot for my craving of a chicken sandwich!

Delicious food and a treat to eat a Nashville-style fried chicken sandwich! The place is dedicated GF as well as no seed oils or peanuts (they use avocado oil). They are very allergen-aware and can make accommodations. It is kind of pricey, but it is a treat to eat here! I would definitely come back. Adequate parking available but it can get pretty crowded at peak times. They have a covered patio in the back.

Wonderful! Our son was recently diagnosed with celiac and we were driving through Austin on the way back from San Antonio so we decided to stop here to eat. Everything is all gf. Went 10ish on a Sunday and ordered from the brunch items. Very very good food and the service was great as well! Entire facility is gluten free, peanut free, seed-oil free, and refined sugar free! Brunch menu wasn’t expansive, but there’s something for every taste. We loved the biscuits and gravy…and their honey butter is delicious. The raspberry jam was a little tart for my liking, but my husband liked it! The smashed potatoes are great, too! The French toast was a bit different than I’m used to with hemp seeds and no crispness, but flavor was good. My husband had the chocolate chip pancakes and said they were good, but could tell they were gf + sugar free.

Amazing variety and seriously good food! Picnik is one of those restaurants that feels very trendy and offers a good dining experience, and just happens to be totally gluten free (aka the gluten eaters won’t really notice). They were also very accommodating of other allergies. I love both the south Lamar and burnet locations.

I love this place. I had a chicken fried chicken with gravy and potatoes and asparagus that was delicious. 2nd visit was brunch and i had cinnamon roll french toast, bacon, and potatoes. The potatoes are some of the best i have ever eaten, baked, smashed, then fried i think!

I walked in and was told “we don’t allow gluten in the building.” My heart was ALIVE with this menu! I was almost overwhelmed by the number of options and not having to incessantly make sure the waiter knew to avoid cross contamination. I had the crispy fish tacos and they were amazing.

Piknik was so refreshing as a celiac! I could order anything that I wanted. I even bonded with the server who was also a celiac. I ordered the avocado toast for brunch which tasted great. I will say the portions are very small and the prices are high so this wouldn't be an everyday place, and make sure to get enough food to fill you up! We shared the chips and queso as a table which were actually dairy free as well! My friends are not gluten free but they really enjoyed what they ordered. I do recommend, just be ready to spend $$ for a little portion!!

This restaurant is amazing!!! It was so good I went here several times within my short trip. Everything is gluten free and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend the salted caramel banana pancakes, the everything bagel toast, the french toast, and the chicken tenders. I personally was not a big fan of the avocado toast. Definitely make sure to come here if you can.

Tried this place out based on reviews. I have Celiac along with dairy and fish allergies. Conferred with waiter and ordered chicken without the brushing sauce and a modification of a sweet potato/veggie combo to replace mashed potatoes that have dairy. Hour later ended up really sick. Not sure exactly what it was that got me. Suspicious it may have been a gluten reaction since usually my reaction to dairy is more delayed. Will never know for sure tho.
