Symptomatic Celiac

I would give it 0 stars but can't. So my daughter has celiac and is super sensitive to cross contamination. First the waiter was sweet but clueless. Brought out bean dip with chips that share fryer. That's a rookie mistake so we did not get upset. When we ordered 2 salads each said GF next to it mine came with croutons throughout the salad. When we asked the waiter he said that there is gf bread right? Seriously we stopped eating. If u have celiac don't go here. Scary

Writing this review before I even ate anything here so I'm not sure how the food tastes but if you are very sensitive make sure you do not order the white bean dip. They fry their tortilla chips with the rest of the items on their menu. I realized to ask the second I was about to take my first bite. Specify with everything because they aren't knowledgeable of cross contamination but they do understand when you explain. They also put kroutons in my specifically GF salad.

Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and they have gluten free buns (with sesame/poppy seeds on them). Fries are gluten-free, too. The brussel sprouts are delicious! They have a "gluten-removed" beer on tap as well as several varieties of hard cider. We will definitely go back.

I was pleased to find a number of clearly marked gluten free options at the Pig Iron. They also had a local gluten free beer available that was quite tasty. We shared the jumbo chicken wings with buffalo sauce to start and I had the Bo Darville sandwich which was delivered on a gluten free bun with amazing fries. The sandwich was a little dry, but still very tasty. The gluten free bun didn't make it thru the whole eating of the sandwich and fell apart a bit, but the sandwich tasted just as good with a fork and knife. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, perfectly willing to accommodate my allergy, however the girl at the front desk was utterly clueless about gluten and whether or not they could manage to not poison me. Highly recommended, fun, pub atmosphere, would definitely go there again.
