Ordered the children’s grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. The server bought it out separately with gloves. The food was delicious. Wonderful experience.

You can get the seafood or chicken grilled or blackened to be gluten free. The only side options for gf are a salad, coleslaw and green beans. I was told the baked beans are next to the gumbo and they get cross contaminated from that and aren't safe. I got grilled shrimp, slaw and green beans.

When I stopped in and asked the hostess about GF options, she wasn’t sure, but offered to ask the manager. The manager came right over and said they could treat it like a seafood allergy and cook everything separate (pans etc) from the other food. And he quickly listed off several mains and sides that could be done GF. They even worked our table of 7 in quickly, knowing we couldn’t wait until 8pm with small children. Great view, fun atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and professional. Had an excellent server (Jacob) and when I mentioned GF to him, he immediately and cheerfully confirmed which options they had available for me. He clearly marked my meal on the order ticket. My plate came out separately, just after the salads and maybe 5 minutes before everyone else’s meal. But that was because they cooked it separate and kept it separate the whole time… the server didn’t even want to touch the edge of the plate and didn’t set it on a tray that holds all the other food. Best grilled white fish I have ever eaten! Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection, just melted in my mouth. Had the sautéed green beans and mashed potatoes to go with it and they were also very good. I’m writing this the next morning… I am very sensitive to gluten and if there had been any cross-contamination, I would have had a miserable stomach ache last night. I feel great! This was an excellent experience, everyone enjoyed their food, and we would definitely go back here again!

My server did not know anything about a gluten/wheat-free diet. She was happy to ask the chef what options they had available. I first offered up suggestions such as a bun-less hamburger, salad, or steak. She returned and said that the chef would make any modifications that I wanted. So there wasn’t any effort made by the the restaurant to provide a GF experience. All of the responsibility of creating a safe dish fell onto me. I asked what was on the salad and I was told “just tomatoes,” it came out with a pile of shredded cheese, croutons, and half a cherry tomato. It works in a crunch, but is honestly a risky choice.
