Husband has dermatitis herpetiformis when he is exposed to gluten. I don’t think this restaurant completely guards against cross contamination. Within a few hours his stomach was hurting and within 48 hrs he broke out. The only new food, not cooked at home in a gluten free kitchen, was the gluten free pizza from this restaurant. I don’t recommend if you are very sensitive.
Very Tasty Pizza, also this place have gluten free stuffed shell 100% come back
Amazing Gluten-Free Pizza at Pizzoli's Pizzeria washington dc
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizzoli's Pizzeria in Washington, DC, and I must say, their gluten-free pizza is absolutely fantastic! As someone with celiac disease, finding delicious and safe gluten-free options can be challenging, but Pizzoli's exceeded my expectations.
From the first bite, I was amazed by the flavor and texture of the gluten-free crust. It was perfectly crisp on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside, just like a traditional pizza crust. The toppings were fresh and generous, adding to the overall deliciousness of the pizza.
What impressed me the most was that I experienced no allergic reaction whatsoever. Pizzoli's clearly takes great care in preparing their gluten-free pizzas, ensuring there is no cross-contamination. This level of attention and dedication to food safety is truly commendable and greatly appreciated by those of us with celiac disease.
The staff at Pizzoli's Pizzeria were friendly and knowledgeable about gluten-free options, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They took the time to answer my questions and assured me that their kitchen follows strict protocols to accommodate gluten-free dietary needs.
If you're in Washington, DC, and looking for a delicious gluten-free pizza, I highly recommend Pizzoli's Pizzeria. located 1418 12th nw dc 20005 Their commitment to providing safe and tasty gluten-free options makes them a standout choice. I can't wait to visit again and enjoy another amazing pizza!
Take out only other than a few picnic tables outside. The GF pizza was not amazing. Lots of cheese which was nice, but the crust was more like a cracker. They did give a GF pizza cutter in the box for us to self cut. They did not have any GF pasta even though they advertise it. They were slow as well, but we did have a large party. I wouldn’t come back here again.
Before covid we was selling lots of gluten free option , we still sells gluten free stuffed shell and pizza chicken wings fries
Food options for GF and Vegans was ok. I’m personally not a fan of Daisy, but glad it’s at least an option.
Pizza was alright, but I’ve had better for much cheaper. You’re running close to $30 for an alright pizza. They give you a plastic pizza cutter, but when I tried to cut it it just ripped the cheese and toppings off. I would go there again in a bind, but it wouldn’t be my first priority.
They are gf conscious, the pizza is really tasty and they make one size, medium /12”, cooked on a pan, made in a separate space. We wanted a late night spot (after 12 am) where I could eat safely and this was a good, quick spot.
The pizza was incredible, but I was a bit miffed when I asked if the gluten free crust was available. The cashier laughed and said they always carry it because it makes a lot of money. It cast a pall over my meal. I’d rather go to a restaurant that cares about me as a Celiac, not as a cash cow on the gluten free bandwagon.
Open till midnight and delivered me tasty pizza with my very own gluten free cutter!
Loved it. First they give you your own pizza cutter so there is no possibility of contamination. The pizza was huge and the portion of pasta is enough for two of us for at least 2 meals each. Visiting from Phoenix and would never have known it existed since its in s cute neighborhood. My 17 year old found it on yelp and it had great reviews. Had to rate it in this app since I live by it. Thank you for the best meal I have had so far
Best pasta I ever had. I ordered the gluten free ziti and my god it was great. The texture was perfect tasted so good I would have never known it was gluten free. I also ordered the gluten free pizza which was also very good. What I love the most is for gluten free pizzas they give you your own cutter so no contamination happens!
All I wanted late at night was a pizza that wouldn't make me sick. What I got was one of the best gf pizzas I've ever had. The crust seemed too good to be true, but it came with its own little disposable pizza cutter so I knew it was gf and that they are careful about cross contamination. I am a super sensitive celiac and I didn't get sick!
Tasty gluten free pizza this place pizza come with separate cutter to protect contamination, i been eat here GF pizza with zero problem since 2014( so far so good),Because of their proceger to protect from contamination
A small local. The kitchen is not separate, the employers didn't know if there's any contamination to the gf pizza. The chef was the only helpful person.
Would give a ZERO if I could. Messed up my order multiple times in a row to the point that I just gave UP! When I called to asked about refunding the charge since my order was wrong the owner was extremely combative and started yelling at me. One of the Most Unprofessional places I have ever dealt with. They don't deserve to be in business. STAY AWAY unless you prefer subpar food and terrible customer service.
sorry you felt that way ,we asked tell us whats wrong with order and offer you replacement. you didt told us you didn't like it. all you was asking money back im sorry you eat whole meal and asked refund
Needed some space after the National Book Festival. We walked just 10 minutes from the convention center to this small pizzeria that's part of a residential neighborhood. We were the only customers. Server was courteous. GF and regular pizza good. GF didn't have the grainy after taste like some do. Also separate pizza cutter for GF.
Visiting DC and decided on a family night in our hotel with a pizza night. I thought to order what we know - Zpizza, but decided to try setting new. The I ordered 2 pizzas - 1 regular and 1 GF. The GF pizza was delivered in a regular box which made met nervous to eat but discovered a GF disposable pizza cutter inside. The pizza was fine, nothing special. I think z is better but it works for a GF option.
