If you have Celiac and need GF options do not trust their menu and absolutely do not order the seared salmon right now that is LABELED GF. They don’t even have the gf orzo to make it. I have celiac and made sure to specify that I have a gluten allergy and ordered the seared salmon. They must have just changed the menu because over the summer/fall they had a seared salmon with creamed corn and potatoes. That’s what I wanted! Unfortunately they changed the meal but used the same name so I didn’t realize until I got my order. When I saw it I knew it wasn’t what I ordered and didn’t think it was GF so I didn’t touch it. I double checked the menu to make sure what I ordered was GF and it in fact was supposed to be GF. When I went to talk to employees about it they said that the orzo that the salmon was on was NOT gluten free and that they don’t even have GF orzo yet. They wouldn’t be getting it in til next week yet they were advertising this dish as being GF. I asked for a refund and went home to eat… it was such a disappointment. I’ve spent so much money eating there since it’s one of the only local places that has GF options that are safe from cross contact and I can’t believe they almost just poisoned me. The scariest part is the only reason I even questioned it was because I thought I ordered a different seared salmon- if I knew the menu was changed and ordered the seared salmon on orzo labeled GF I would have ate it and I wouldn’t have known until it was too late and I would have been sick for weeks…. Please beware if you have celiac… I really hope they take this more seriously in the future but I’m not sure if I’ll ever feel comfortable going back there.
Definitely a shift in quality and portion size. It's unfortunate, because I used to really enjoy eating here.
Such a fun experience to be able to eat chicken tenders again! Food was really good, and we both felt great afterwards.
Sooooooo good! So many GF options and delicious!!! My waitress had celiacs too so she was super helpful! I had lobster corn fritters (a seasonal special) and fish & chips for the first time since being GF, so good, even though it seemed wrong having that at a burger joint 🤣. Top review marks!
As someone with Celiac Disease, I was pleasantly surprised by what Plan B Burger Bar had to offer! Almost the entire menu can be made gluten free. They have dedicated fryers for gluten AND dairy sensitivities. My father, who does not have any food allergies gave the food a 5 star review as well. Our waiter Tom was one of the best and most knowledgeable servers I’ve ever had. I felt 100% comfortable eating here. I was in the area all the way from Long Island and would 100% consider eating here again!
This was my favorite place, but the last two times my Nima Gluten Sensor found gluten. I have celiac and get very ill even with cross contact. I’m also intolerant to garlic and onion, sadly. I’m always sure to tell the server that I have celiac and that cross contact is an issue. I would usually get a burger on a gluten free bun with cheddar cheese & avocado with either fancy fries (fries with salt) or the tater tots. I ask them to cook my burger in a separate pan as an added precaution. The bartender/server was great and took the issue seriously. I’m sad that this won’t be my go-to place, at least for a while.
This place has been fantastic at ensuring that everything I eat is gluten free. I've dined there numerous times since my diagnosis and they haven't made me sick. One of their waitresses has celiac and additionally all of the stuff that goes into the fryer is battered with rice flour, therefore making everything gluten free. Overall, they do an amazing job and the food is DELICIOUS!
Most items on the menu are GF or have the option to be. The chicken fingers are naturally GF and honestly made my night as good gluten free chicken fingers are hard to come by. I did have to ask my server one more time if they were actually GF because they looked and tasted “too good to be gluten free” but they were in fact GF. I did not get sick here and the staff are not only very nice but very knowledgeable of celiac disease! I even heard other people around us ordering items and expressing their need for things to be GF. They also have a GF flourless chocolate dessert filled with vanilla mousse and it was delicious! Will be going back here again!
Lots of gluten free options marked on the menu. Non-gluten free kids loved their food. Burger looked great and fries were super crispy. If it wasn’t before noon, would be nice to explore the bourbon options. Server was very knowledgeable and manager came out when an item had run out to see what other options might work. Very nice find.
I love coming here! Only place where I can get gluten free chicken tenders. They seemed very knowledgeable on celiac and cross contamination. They assured me that the fries are made in a fryer that has never touched gluten, and I've never felt sick from here.
I got the Buffalo shrimp and Baja burger. Very tasty but there was contamination somewhere. I didn’t get full-on glutened but definite tell tale symptoms that showed something wasn’t fully safe. I suspect it was the handling of the buns because my husband had a regular bun. I recommend giving explicit directions of “changed gloves” in the back and no cross handling of buns. I asked all the standard questions about cooking surface and that all seemed fine - and they were quick to say their fryer is designated gluten free products only. Maybe that’s worth double checking too. Also I see others say that food came out marked Gf but mine was not marked.
Phenomenal. Just about every item on the menu is, or can be made, gluten free. They have GF buns, dedicated fryers, and GF breading on foods like chicken tenders. GF dessert too.
Amazing! Dedicated fryers (only gf for all the stuff in fryers). Endless options of appetizers, chicken tenders, nachos, American nachos, many burgers, fries, sweet potatoes fries, etc. definitely my “go-to” for going out to eat
Fantastic for Celiac and gluten eaters. Tons of gluten free options, dedicated fryer, knowledgeable staff and delicious food. The waiter was well informed plus the manager came out and explained kitchen protocols to prevent cross contamination. Highly recommend.
I ordered a pumpkin cider because it was on special for October. Unfortunately for me she brought a pumpkin BEER! Which was realized after I took a large swig of. The waitress seemed to be sympathetic but that was a huge error. I canceled my food order and my spouse decided to get his to go. Since I was going to get sick 100%.
The waitress explained the situation to the manager, Gabby, and Gabby went over and beyond to try to rectify this error. Even though my burger order was canceled she made it and sent me home with it. In addition she sent me home with chicken tensor because she was worried my burger would not reheat well. She provided me with a couple of ginger ales to help settle my stomach too.
On top of that she then comped the entire bill. Customer service was fantastic. The chicken tendors were pretty amazing.
I would try them again but probably all for someone that is uncertain of my sickness.
