I got there late in the day so there were few choices. I took it as a sign that they are very popular. I got one of each of what was left, a pineapple upside down cake and a blueberry crumble cake, and both were delicious! It is a GF facility, so I didn’t have to worry about a reaction. If I’m ever in San Antonio again, I will definitely come back and try more offerings. Highly recommended!
Absolutely delicious deserts! I ordered the blueberry açaí cake, the peaches and cream donut and the neopolitan cake. The deserts were soft and not overly sweet so you could taste the flavor instead of just sweetness. The peaches and cream donut, while delicious, did not taste like peaches. The neopolitan cake was my favorite - loved the mix of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors. I also ordered the rose gold drink which was undrinkable (it was so sweet it tasted like drinking maple syrup).
Such a gem!!! Just wished I lived closer to it! Everything here is gf and all other ingredients are marked (for ex they have a lot of items with coconut and they will clearly make that know ). My fave is the cinnamon roll. The coconut cake they made was delicious. Everything is great and they even have a cozy little spot you can sit and work from if you wish.
I ordered variety (donuts, muffins, cupcake) online the evening before my birthday get-together w/ family. I *loved* the blueberry cupcake, but will order refined sugar free frosting next time.
I’ll be back for carrot cake, server said it was sooo good!!
Update - the refined sugar free option is coconut sugar, which is nutritionally like refined sugar.
Tacos are DELICIOUS, coffee is great, and the selection of sweets is perfect (sweets selection changes monthly). They have superfood lattes if that’s you’re thing, and on top of it all the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. There is a parking lot right next to the building as well, which can be hard to find in downtown SA.
This was such a treat! The donuts were delicious and the iced mocha really hit the spot! I’m dairy and gluten free so it’s hard to find good snacks.
They have an amazing, every-changing selection of fabulous baked goods! Donuts, cinnamon buns, cupcakes…it’s all amazing! They also have fantastic matcha and espresso drinks. Finally, they partner with local gluten-free meal prep and taco places to make your life easier—which we gluten free/celiac folk know is so so appreciated. 100% confidence in the safety of their kitchen, since it’s a dedicated gluten-free location. It’s also just an adorable location in general! You will not regret going here!! They’re my favorite bakery ever!
The 2 ladies helping us were so sweet! The treats and tacos were so yummy! It was the cutest place. So happy we were able to stop by.
Weekly menu that changes. Today I got a chocolate chip pumpkin muffin. WOW! It was moist and delicious. It wasn’t dense or crumbly at all. The staff were incredibly nice and they were knowledgeable ingredients wise to help me find something safe with my other allergies.
I have celiac disease, and Plantyful Sweets is both celiac-safe (everything is gluten free!), delicious, and very reasonably priced! Their food is so good!! I had some of their breakfast tacos and donuts, and every one is something I will buy again. The interior of their place is beautiful, cozy, and welcoming. The people are amazing!!! 20/10. I highly recommend
I loved both desserts that I chose: bacon maple donut and apple pie bar. The menu changes weekly so check their social media.
All food is gluten free and delicious!!! Donuts and taco! (Apparently the menu is ever-changing)
Service was great. Food delicious. I arrived about 3 min to closing and bought what was left of doughnuts and cookies. And they were delicious. Thank you for being one of the few gf bakeries in san antonio. I am from buffalo, ny visiting and found it tough to find gf options in san antonio.
Yummy gf options with a frequently changing menu. I feel like they really respond to feedback too, as I’ve noticed they have started offering their cinny buns nut free and mentioning more oat free options too. Nice to have a tasty treat that I know is safe! My I my wish is they opened a little earlier so I could grab it on my way to work!
While the server was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Celiac Diet and checked with the chef about ingredients. Unfortunately they use oat milk and oat flour in their cookies, donuts & breads. Our whole celiac family react to the protein in gluten free oats. They can make baked goods without oats & oat milk but you need to call ahead and preorder. Also they were completely sold out of all their breads! I'd recommend calling ahead to order.
Really great doughnuts!! I contacted the owner and asked about our daughter’s cashew and pistachio allergies and the communication was fabulous! She was very understanding and helpful. We successfully had gluten free and nut free items.
