Platano Loco is a plantain-based restaurant, so almost everything is naturally gluten-free! Pizzas, burgers, sandos, French fries — it’s all delicious and safe to eat.
The restaurant itself is super cute and very picturesque on the balneario. The staff is very kind and helpful!
When I reached out on Insta to ask about gluten, this is what they said:
“Hi, most of our menu still gluten free. We do not use any wheat flour. We do use oat flour that may have some trace for the manufacturing process but not on our end. The jolgorio is the only item with the oat flour, but if you want the jolgorio, let us know and we can make it without it. Also the red sauce that use is part premade and also may have some trace on the manufacturer side. The items with the red sauce is Parmesano, and the meat that are order with “criolla sauce”. The rest of the menu is gluten free. Hope this helps you. When you visit let us know and I personally take with the instructions to our personnel.”
