This is a good spot. It’s small, has a lot of character, may be a bit overpriced (although NY adjacent), but most importantly it was safe GF and delicious. 2 celiac kids had brunch with bread pudding french toast and a beet salad. Moroccan egg dish was spicy and really tasty.

What a wonderful surprise. They had a bread pudding French toast with fresh whipped cream and berries that was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Added benefit was the excellent coffee and fresh juices.

Plum Bakery showed up as a dedicated gluten free facility, when you go to their web site it also links their restaurant Plum On Park. Problem is I made the assumption that it too was a dedicated gluten free facility, it is not. Was told the owner was gluten free, and that they use multi grain bread, and if you want gluten free you have to ask.

Flew in for a wedding and like always when someone has celiac you have to plan every single meal! Been sick way too many times from cross contamination, and was NOT willing to risk it.

If the owner has celiac, then they know how difficult it is, and offering 100% dedicated gluten facility is everything for someone with this disease.

Amazing food, so many gluten free options, and excellent service. My husband and I went for brunch late on a Saturday morning and there was no issue with a long wait OR with the staff. I found every very pleasant and the service was fast!

I’ll start by saying the food is good and gluten free. However this place has recently been renovated. This review is about the total experience.

Wow! The renovation RUINED the atmosphere and vibe of this place. It use to be a quaint, old style, family friendly, place with charm and a certain appeal the no other eatery could compare. But now it’s a just another crowded diner, and not a very good one. There’s hardly any room to move. Instead of tables there are booths right on top of each other. Not even enough walking space for the servers. EVERY time a waitress passed us she’d bump us. And these waitresses are stressed because of the cramped space, so they have a bit of an attitude. Whomever designed this was clearly thinking about how they could pack ‘em in to squeeze the most money as possible. This renovation is certainly motivated by capitalistic greed. You didn’t make this place better. You destroyed what truly made this place stand out. We WERE regulars, but after today we will be exploring other establishments. Truly a disappointment. Shame on the owners and designers.

Update: 042818 Had to try again. Couldn’t let one bad experience ruin it for me. Brought wife for the first time. Today was worse than when I went in Feb. Waitress gave total attitude; was a complete witch. My wife was perplexed at how someone like her could work in a service industry. Tolerated the nasties. Upon leaving confronted our waitress who addressed the matter with hyper charged attitude. Made inaccurate accusations. Whether she had me confused with someone else or not, whether you like your customer or not, when you’re a waitress you don’t treat the customers like crap. She was so full of condescendence I’m worried she may have done something to my food (although no evidence of such). It’s a shame the food is good but the service is not. Recommend action: Find another place.

The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is bright and cheerful, and the food is fantastic. I had the butternut squash salad and added bacon. It was delicious. I also have a very serious egg allergy and they cater to that as well.

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Almost everything can be made gluten-free and they have a dedicated fryer. I had all appetizers as my meal; the deviled eggs nest, the tempura broccoli (which was out of this world) and the fried chicken and cream corn were amazing. A little bit pricey and parking is awful but totally worth it. I felt safe there and I don't believe there was any cross-contamination. Delicious gluten-free bread!

WOW backwards and forwards! This place did not disappoint in any way. We loved the ambiance of the place, the service, and the menu. We ordered off the dinner menu and enjoyed a full array of dishes from soup to side, to main entree. Everything had great flavor and texture. The quality and flavor of the food was fully worthy of five stars from the toughest critics. Worth a special trip and paying a bit more as it is a bit pricey. Btw... our server started the conversation by asking if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions. Gluten Free is really not an issue here. Such a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes and other meals....like maybe Brunch this weekend! Adding to my review....returned for Brunch and was delighted!

Service was friendly and they accommodated my diet needs. The food was creative and tasty, and I enjoyed my meal. I found the prices to be a bit high, especially for things like an iced tea and a small gluten free cookie.

I came here with a large group of friends for dinner to accommodate my Celiac Disease. Everyone was able to find something on the menu that they liked and the food was very good. All dishes are gluten free or can be modified. I split some options with another person - Devils egg nest, baby kale & toasted quinoa, zucchini fries, and a Parmesan cup with meat balls (special). Also the GF bread was very good. I will be trying the brunch& lunch menus soon

They use Bob's Red Mill which is not always safe for celiacs. Bob's does not use purity protocol oats anymore, they are now using visual separation oats (not celiac safe).

The best gluten free friendly place in Montclair. The owner natalie makes homemade bread like no other!! She's super accommodating. She's opening a 100%gluten free bakery down the street on glenridge Ave in April 2015! I tried one of her bagels--vegan too--hands down the best gf bagel I have EVER had. And I've traveled far for them!
