Best gf calzones we have ever found. we have been a few times now and had no reaction ( from a very sensitive celiac)
So many gluten free options and I’ve never gotten sick. Love it
Fantastic GF crust. Celiac son loved this place.
The service was lacking. They couldn't find their gluten free menu, yes menu (singular). The waitress never checked back to see how the meal was. The kitchen however knew what they were doing the gluten free pizza was delicious and I was not glutened!
My 6 yr old son's favorite GF place! Possibly the best GF pizza crust out there!
All time favorite gluten free crust! Better yet they have dairy free cheese😍
My favorite Gluten Free pizza of all time
Wonderful pizza! Great crust and gf cider!
Friendly atmosphere and servers. Excellent handmade gf crusts. Nice location and decor. As a bonus has “pie-fi.”
Wicked yummy Gluten-Free pizza!
Gluten free pizza was fantastic. The kitchen manager was well aware of ingredients and answered all of my questions. We also had gluten free breadsticks they were okay.
The waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. Had a delicious meal and had some amazing pizza crust better than regular!
Great pizza but when ordering I would ask to talk to a manager. The waitstaff is not always educated about GF
Had a delicious gf pizza and a salad. Great crust, very tasty.
The gf pizza is great and now they sell their gf dough at Hannaford in Manchester. A few times I have ordered the gf pizza and they used the vegan cheese without asking me so specify which cheese you prefer.
Delicious gluten free pizza. Got it with grilled chicken and couldn't have been happier.
Seriously one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. I got the Moose and it was so delicious. I was visiting town and will definitely be back. Price was extremely reasonable, too. About $10 less than I can get a pizza for at home that is nowhere near as good. Loved it.
Good pizza and the gf lemon vinigrette dressing was great.
The gluten free pizza was yummy. Thin crust done just right. Only one option for GF salad dressing. Pizza may be the only true GF item on the menu.
GROSS! Gave it three trys Manch twice and Nashua. The whole top layer tastes like raw dough, needs a quick broil prior to toppings. If they really cared about GF pizza being good they would offer GF real cheese to go on it. Juliano's in Derry is the best I have had, besides my own.
great selection of gf pizza!
Be careful ... The cheese has a trace amount of gluten in it!!!!
I went here with my mom; we started with the hummus plate and then we split a gluten free pizza (pesto, added chicken, subbed fresh mozzarella for the shredded cheese) and a GF calzone (Alfredo). We had plenty of leftover pizza and calzone, which was great because I ate them today! The GF basil pizza crust is AMAZING. So light and not at all greasy; our dinner actually tasted more balanced than a normal “pizza.” I’ll definitely be back.
Before I was gluten-free, I loved this place and it'd get 5 stars easily. I hear that the gluten-free crust is excellent, but if you have Celiac disease, don't risk eating here. Their menu specifically says that they cannot guarantee there is no cross-contamination, so people with Celiac disease should NOT eat here. I appreciate their honest assessment.
Portland Pie is a gem! I've been to the restaurant but what I mainly enjoy is that they sell their bread dough at Hannafords (GF/dairy-free) and I use this to make my own pizzas with daiya cheese! I just recently used their dough to make breadsticks to go with pasta and they were phenomenal!
They have gluten free pizza crust and gluten free bread. We got a GF cheese pizza and a GF Grilled Cheese. The pizza crust is a basil pizza crust and it was amazing. They also have Vegan cheese if you need it. The grilled cheese was good but if I were to get it again I'd ask for extra cheese. Great find thanks to the hotel staff where I stayed!
Absolutely outstanding! Ate here last night. The manager came right to our table once the server told him my brother & I have celiac. We shared a salad (2 of the dressings are GF & the server was very knowledgeable) and we got 2 GF pizzas. The pizza was so delicious that we got one to go! I've definitely found a go-to spot when I'm in MA! Looking forward to my next visit already :)
this place is great we live close too and they deliver. which is amazing. the only problem I have is that as with most gluten free places they only have one size and it's pretty small. good for just me maybe. but I've never been sick and it's always delicious
I love the different options they have for GF pizza. It's unfortunate that pizza is the only GF option but if that's what you're in the mood for it's great. We have been there twice. First time our server was not the greatest and I didn't enjoy my pizza but that was my own fault for not reading the description carefully. This last time out server was great and my pizza was delicious. We'll be going back for sure!
The previous review is completely inaccurate. I have Celiac and have had nothing but fantastic service at this resturant. I have also never run across a non GF cheese (besides blue cheese) at a place out. Almost every topping and pizza can be made GF. They even made me spinach artichoke dip that I could eat. I am very sesitive to contamination etc in resturants and I have NEVER had an issue here!
FYI- The cheese is NOT gf. I had an awful experience. I have celiac disease and I let them know when I got there. They assured me it was safe for me. I ordered the only gf option on the menu- a cheese pizza. After I ordered I had a gut feeling to check that the cheese was gf. They came back and said it was not. They said if I wanted something gf it would have to be a "cheese" pizza with vegan cheese. So I did. I was violently ill for 10 days after. Obviously it was not prepared in a gf kitchen. It was a waste of money, the food was nasty, There was only one "safe"- not actually safe- option, and I don't trust anything they say now. Unfortunately, my best friends's mother in law had her rehearsal dinner there to accommodate ME shortly after- not knowing my experience- because they told her it was gf and safe for me. I couldn't eat with everyone at the rehearsal dinner and I am extremely disgusted with the dishonesty that the Portland Pie Company has exhibited when it comes to my very sever autoimmune disease. I would prefer them just say "sorry it's not safe for you to eat here". Moral of the story: if you have celiac- don't bother. The end.
Love the option for GF crust and dairy free "cheese". The staff is great, the ambiance is relaxed, and Ive never had any contamination issues. I just find that it isn't my first choice when craving pizza. Definitely a good option, and they have a few locations in the area.
