Very slow service, took an hour to get our food Gluten free pizza was very greasy and dough was not crispy on bottom. Regular pizza was soggy too, My daughter did not get sick though she is not a sensitive celiac
The pizza was pretty good. The chicken wings are either undercooked or not cooked at a high enough temperature. The hostess forget to bring silverware and then seemed annoyed when I asked for it. We ordered two pizzas and wings but did not get plates either.
Tried the Biddeford location 2 times got sick 2 times never again
Had a GF/vegan Monhegan pizza (think steak bomb with vegan cheese). It was delicious! We have gone 7 or 8 times now and my boy is sensitive Celiac. He has been fine each time! So thankful for a good pizza place!
I went here with my mom; we started with the hummus plate and then we split a gluten free pizza (pesto, added chicken, subbed fresh mozzarella for the shredded cheese) and a GF calzone (Alfredo). We had plenty of leftover pizza and calzone, which was great because I ate them today! The GF basil pizza crust is AMAZING. So light and not at all greasy; our dinner actually tasted more balanced than a normal “pizza.” I’ll definitely be back.
Excellent gluten free dough, and the first time we've ever found a gluten free calzone. Dough was flavorful and held together well - didn't have the typical cardboard texture of gluten free dough.
First time I ate here was fine, the last two times I ended up getting sick. The pizza is good, but you'll be taking a chance! Ask for fresh mozzarella as I was told the shredded cheese could be contaminated.
Pizza was not good and on top of that contaminated. Sick for 4 days! Side bar I have been to other locations and have never had this problem. Usually good.
Pizza was rock hard, over cooked and over priced.
Love this place for gluten free pizza and wings!
They have gluten free pizza crust and gluten free bread. We got a GF cheese pizza and a GF Grilled Cheese. The pizza crust is a basil pizza crust and it was amazing. They also have Vegan cheese if you need it. The grilled cheese was good but if I were to get it again I'd ask for extra cheese. Great find thanks to the hotel staff where I stayed!
Best gf pizza in New England! I'm from Massachusetts, lived in Connecticut and like to travel. This is by far the best place. even when veggies make the dough soggy it's still delicious. It's just inescapable with veggies.
Don’t bother. I thought I’d try their GF pizza for takeout and about 20 minutes after I called the manager called to tell me they don’t serve people like me. She explained they didn’t want to be sued. Ouch. I have had luck at their Scarborough location. Friendlier and it’s clear the management understands and train GF practices.
Absolutely LOVE this place! The gluten-free basil dough is amazing! I had a calzone for the first time in 15 years! I added pepperoni to mine. It was packed with flavor and was so big I couldn’t even eat it all. The food comes quick and the service was stellar. Our server gave us honest opinions of the food and helped us ‘travelers’ choose the best menu options.
Have eaten here and gotten take out as a celiac for years and never had any issues until the last 6 months or so. I have tried at least 6 times, thinking it was a fluke contamination issue. Every time I have gotten sick from gluten. Will not continue to buy from here anymore. If you are celiac this is not a safe gf establishment.
Amazing Basil GF pie crust pizza & Really Amazing GF Calzones! I am not Celiac, but wait staff was very good at asking And was very very knowledgeable about the extra precautions needed in preparing the food if a customer was indeed allergic or Celiac. I am sorry to see others had poor experiences. Hopefully they have gotten better with there cross contaminations. When a customer states they are celiac.
A good selection of options. However, my GF calzone tested positive for gluten with the Nima. Likely cross contamination. Disappointed. A second try with GF pizza also tested positive for gluten with the Nima. Need to be way more careful with cross contamination!
They were very attentive on keeping everything gluten free. They mentioned that they have a separate gluten free area, but that cross contamination could happened because of the flour in the air in the kitchen. However this is not any different from any other pizza place. Ordered a salad and a calzone, both were very good.
The GF pizza is really good and you can get almost any topping you want! They also have gluten free beer which pairs wonderfully with the pizza. I’ve been here twice and never gotten sick. I’d definitely recommend it to someone who wanted a good gluten free pizza.
My waitress was SUPER kind and helpful. They were out of GF dough for calzones but I had one of their GF flatbread sandwiches. So tasty! Had a GF appetizer, salad, sandwich and dessert! 10/10 would recommend :)
Not safe for celiacs there was told not to go because there's "flour flying everywhere" but appreciate their knowledge and being honest. You can buy their dough and make it yourself safe at home!
I ordered the gf pizza crust, vegan cheese, spinach and olive pizza. Ate half one day and half the next. I ended up with a stomach ache both days. Obviously not seriously glutened, but it makes me wonder if they weren’t careful with cross contamination. I was bummed as I’ve been looking for a good gluten free pizza option in that area. Otto’s is great in the Cheverus area.
Portland Pie was satisfactory for a short time when it first moved to Nashua, but no longer. My work ordered from there today. The gf pizza was flat, tasteless, & extremely rubbery where it wasn't rock hard.
Excellent buffalo wings and calzone. I haven't had a calzone in 6+ years and it was a treat to be able to have one!!!! Note: it was gigantic and I split it with my husband. I'm gluten intolerant due to gastrointestinal issues, not celiac.
Before I was gluten-free, I loved this place and it'd get 5 stars easily. I hear that the gluten-free crust is excellent, but if you have Celiac disease, don't risk eating here. Their menu specifically says that they cannot guarantee there is no cross-contamination, so people with Celiac disease should NOT eat here. I appreciate their honest assessment.
The service was lacking. They couldn't find their gluten free menu, yes menu (singular). The waitress never checked back to see how the meal was. The kitchen however knew what they were doing the gluten free pizza was delicious and I was not glutened!
My family is obsessed. Crust is pretty good but I'm not crazy about the cheese or sauce (it's kind of sweet). I also am not crazy about topping choices. Staff is always attentive though. Calzone is thin but good.
Portland Pie is a gem! I've been to the restaurant but what I mainly enjoy is that they sell their bread dough at Hannafords (GF/dairy-free) and I use this to make my own pizzas with daiya cheese! I just recently used their dough to make breadsticks to go with pasta and they were phenomenal!
