Amazing! By far the best restaurant experience I’ve had since being diagnosed. We went for brunch, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which was delicious, as were the donut holes! Highly recommend. Everything in the restaurant was Celiac safe!!
I could move to Asheville for this restaurant! Even allow dogs outside on the patio and there’s a menu for them too! Food was fabulous and we ate here every night we were in Asheville. I just wish there were more places like this where my people can eat delicious, safe food. Great experience. My husband agrees and he’s not gf.
It’s such a rare find: a restaurant that’s 100% gluten free. As a family with celiac, it’s such a treat to just sit down and order without the need to ask multiple questions about the food and/or it’s preparation in the kitchen. Add to that locally sourced ingredients and the charm of downtown Asheville and this place is too good to pass. We had an incredible brunch: sorghum pancakes, vanilla brioche French toast, and tostada breakfast bowl. We also shared some homefries, cherrywood bacon, and biscuits with whipped butter and blackberry jam. 100% GF and 100% delicious!!
I love this place. Whenever I am in Asheville I eat here multiple times - dinner and brunch. One evening I sat outside. The weather was perfect and a street musician was performing. It’s fun to walk and shop around that area as well. There is a public parking garage a block away.
Oh my gosh, the ability to order anything on the menu was such a relief!!! The owner of the restaurant’a wife apparently has celiac and he opened the restaurant so that she and people like her can have a safe place to eat. There are only 2 items in the entire restaurant with gluten, both are beer, but we only saw 1 on the menu, so it might have been seasonal. We had the gnocchi app, duck & scallops for entrees & banana pudding for dessert. This place is a must when in town.
Second time I've eaten here. They are indeed gluten free with some pretty amazing options. Food doesn't taste bad either. However.... My fiancee and I have both become terribly I'll after eating here. The first time was several years ago... Thought it was a fluke. But yesterday, we decided to give the place a second chance.... Huge mistake. My fiancee doesn't have Celiac's, like me. But honestly, I don't believe gluten exposure was the issue... I think the food was improperly handled/bad both times. It's like we got food poisoning. I strongly advise not eating here.
Fantastic! Gluten free as fuck! You do not have to worry even a tiny tiny bit. You are safe. You can eat here. Amazing staff, the manager is a great funny guy, the cooks are very skilled, and the food is so good you’ll eat till you puke then you’ll eat some more.
Posana is my happy place!! What a treat it was to be handed a menu, and then later a dessert menu, and be told that every item on them was completely safe! I took full advantage and ordered a fried delicata squash appetizer, a pear and candied walnut salad, beef short rib for dinner and a deconstructed carrot cake for dessert. Everything was delicious!! The service and ambience were also fantastic and my gluten-eating spouse left just as happy as I did. Well done, Posana!!! And thank you for what you do!!
I ate there twice during my stay in Asheville and did not get sick. Except for beer, the restaurant is GF. My waitress had celiac and said she eats there all the time. Service was great and accommodating. Food was delicious. Kids menu is a bit limited
Fantastic food, beautiful atmosphere & attentive staff. We accidentally discovered this gem & found it to be a GF kitchen! 💥 The pancakes at brunch were fluffy, fresh and delicious ... we came back for appetizers and cocktails in the evening and enjoyed the beautiful patio.
The entire restaurant is gluten free and is fresh farm to table. I had the best food of my life and didn’t have to worry at all about getting sick. The waiters were also friendly and brought the food out fairly quick. Overall a fantastic experience!
We really wanted to love this place! My 7 year old celiac was so excited to eat here but within 2 hours of her dinner (GF grilled cheese and fries) she was very sick. Disappointing as we drove 2 hours on our vacation so she could eat here. I contacted the manager after and he reassured me that what she had was GF but we strongly feel she was somehow glutened here.
What a wonderful experience! As others have mentioned, this is a completely dedicated gluten free restaurant. On top of having celiac I have many other food allergies that do not allow me to eat outside of my own kitchen very often. They were above and beyond accommodating and put together an entree specifically tailored to my allergies. It was delicious and truly a treat to our rare dinner date night. The staff was amazing and the environment was fantastic! Wish we could give more than 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Shhh... we'll keep your secret. This place is amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. The ambience and service was exceptional. The entire menu and kitchen is gluten free, which is a wonderful surprise for those, like us, with celiac and gluten sensitivity. We could order everything off the menu. I would eat here if I could eat all the gluten I wanted. I'm glad they don't advertise that way as people may avoid without knowing what they were missing. We will eat here everytime we come to Asheville.
Best restaurant - exactly what every Celiac wants - real food that just happens to be gluten free. Fresh, local ingredients. They don't advertise the restaurant as gluten free as to not dissuade the average customer but it is in fact dedicated gluten free and everything we ordered was fantastic.
I felt like I was in heaven. One of the best dedicated gluten free restaurants I’ve ever been to. So many options of things I never get to eat!!! And I didn’t have to worry about anything or google ingredients! I tried the donut holes, fried chicken sandwich (omg!!!!), and sticky bun. Everything was divine. I haven’t had a sticky bun since I was a gluten eating child and it tasted exactly as I remembered. This is my number one go to in Asheville from now on.
We absolutely loved it here. We ordered an appetizer, a side, two entrees, and dessert. They were all exceptionally delicious and all totally gluten free! Fiancé, who is not celiac/gf (I am), said “that was a religious experience...” this place is definitely a must-go.
