Review of Poseidon

Ate there Friday night based on 54 reviews with 5 star rating & a lot of recent Celiac reviews saying it was safe. I had a TOTALLY DIFFERENT experience and do NOT recommend this restaurant for anyone with Celiac disease. Looking back the first red flag was their disclaimer that basically says ‘don’t eat here if you have Celiac disease’. But I overlooked it based on the reviews. Told server I was Celiac & I ordered GF popcorn shrimp (cornmeal breaded). I got that along with GLUTEN COCKTAIL SAUCE. I assumed it was GF as it was on my GF plate so took a bite but instinct told me to spit it out & ask. Good thing I did or I would have been extremely sick. The server was unapologetic & not knowledgeable. Had to stop a manager who couldn’t answer basic questions like: dedicated fryer, all fried seafood made with cornmeal (thinking wrong plate was brought out). They remade my meal but I couldn’t trust what they brought out & had lost my appetite. Gave 2 stars instead of 1because they removed my meal from bill and said they need to work on their practices & educating their staff better. There is a difference in cross contamination and putting Gluten on my plate.
