I had the bruschetta board which was really more like toast with cold toppings. The server was very helpful and explained the bread is baked locally and brought in every morning but I suspect there was cross contamination in the kitchen because I was sick the whole next day.
My server was very knowledgeable about which foods were gluten free and foods that are cross-contaminated. They even noted to the kitchen that my already GF salad needed to be GF to prevent any cross-contamination. Lots of GF options on the menu and the food was great - highly recommend!
Delicious gluten-free bread especially the one they use for the bruschettas! A lot of menu options can be made GF and they have an allergen table QR on the menu you can scan to help navigate. Staff were also knowledgeable. The only downside is that there is a lot of bread-based options/not a diverse range of offerings.
They have gluten free bread and say they take precautions. I asked a lot of questions, and I was hungry enough to make decisions I normally wouldn’t. Did not get gluten sick. I had pesto bruschetta and a salad. I asked for no dressing and it came dressed which made me concerned about how seriously they were taking celiac, and I’m having symptoms from other allergies I think.
I am new and I am still learning what my body can handle and what not. So this is just my experience. We had the roasted potatoes with aeoli on the side.
For dinner I had the skewers. And then I had the Brussels sprout salad. Those options are gluten free.
Because I also have a garlic sensitivity that I am learning about.
At first I was worried about cross contact because I did get sick after eating here. But I think it was the garlic in the salad and the skewers. And so I don’t want to cross this place out!
I LOVE postino and I will be back because I want to see how I can make it work!! I think getting the dressing on the side would have helped so I ate less of the dressing.
I really liked how accommodating they were. They were incredible and I will be back!
