Powerhaus Wholesome Pizza & Eats

Glad I called. Despite advertising GF pizza when I called to ask about protocols, they strongly stressed that it is not safe for celiac as there is definitely cross contamination with the toppings. I appreciated their honesty, but was disappointed that we couldn’t get pizza!

One of the best pizza we’ve ever had. Crust was amazing. The kids loved it … begged to eat there every night of our trip. The kids loved the cheese pizza … the Hawaiian was delicious. They had GF, vegan and dairy free options.

Will not be going back- online menu says nothing about being not safe for celiac. As soon as you walk in, right on the menu it says not suitable for celiac.

I have to eat dairy free, egg free, and gluten free (celiac but I’m not vegan, just intolerant) and this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. I ordered and left a note saying what I needed and the pizza was PERFECT. Every time I go near San Diego, I will definitely stop by- it was that good. My partner is not GF and said his was extremely good too.

Finally gluten free pizza that passed my Nima test! I have 2 celiac sons and they pizza safe pizza. We ordered 2 gf pizzas and a regular. Bbq chicken and my son made his own. We tested both with our Nima and it came back safe. No stomach aches 😊 It was tasty and healthy. but our main priority is safe when it comes to pizza. Update- we get this regularly and occasionally it does test positive for gluten with our Nima sensor. Usually it’s a very low amount, but as with all pizza use caution.

Got order wrong even after talking to 2 people. Trainee struggled and gave phone to another staff. Ordered gluten free crust. Picked up, drove home 20 minutes, opened box to a wheat based crust. Receipt confirmed. I wouldnt have known except that my wife also ordered a GF crust and that one was correct (at least hope so) and looked different. That can be serious mistake for someone sensitive with celiac.

Then, the poor customer service when I called them. I asked for a redo of the pizza and deliver it, or refund my money. Manager (26feb2022) said ‘they’re not a delivery service’ and that I would get a free pizza next time. Super confident about that happening. I suggested a refund, to which I was hung up on. Not at all customer focused or empathetic to their mistakes impact on customers

Update 27Feb: Owner reached out which I appreciated because the whole perceived poor customer was odd-the hang up after requesting refund.

The owner said they were refunding charge. So, here it is… We ate my wife’s pizza which I thought was pretty good. This one had the GF crust which I thought was good

However, the customer service training and procedure to ensure that when a GF pizza is ordered, a GF pizza is what is delivered needs some improvement. No excuses on making that mistake. Redundancy maybe is needed 3 Stars with potential of 5 IMO after some improvements

Delicious pizza! You can’t tell it’s gf either. They are very aware of gluten cross contamination. While not a gluten free facility they do change everything prior to making your food. The oven is a shared oven but your food is on separate pans. I got the pizza. It’s been 5 hours and still no reactions. I’m definitely going again!

Pizza is the only thing I am aware of

The establishment has an amazing gluten free/ vegan pizza & tons of options!!!! The crust is thick & you won’t even know it was gluten free!!!
