This place is incredible. Hands down the best gf bread I’ve ever had. I’ve been diagnosed celiac since 2000 and I can tell you I’ve never had bread this good. I suggest the Banh mi!! The place is clean the people are friendly and the music is fire. Do your gf self a favor and take a drive over you won’t regret it!

Run to try this spot!! I’ve seen it a bunch online but say sandwich and never clicked. One day I looked up gluten free sandwich and it appeared. OMG the pork bahn mi on gluten free bread is the best sandwich ever. They care so much about allergy’s and they are so friendly. I went twice in the same week and felt great after the meal.
I called ahead to verify that they had gluten free bread and that the deli meat was gluten free. It was. When we arrived the front worker was very kind and said the cooks would take every precaution to not cross-contaminate. I got the Italian cold sandwich and it was amazing. I didn’t get any reaction. It’s on the opposite end of town for me but totally worth the drive. If you are celiac, I am unsure how it works with a hot sub. I was told the more fancier sandwiches may contain soy sauce. So please ask more questions prior to ordering.
I had been craving a good GF sub sandwich and this place delivered. The GF bread was so good I asked 3 separate times for them to confirm it was GF. They assured me they would change gloves and lay down parchment paper on the shared work surface. I played it safe and got a “cold sub” not one that went in their oven so I can’t attest to that. But I didn’t get sick at all after and it was delicious!
I love Proper! It is my favorite lunch spot. My husband and I went for weeks before we even asked if they had gluten free options. Finally one day we asked and Eric told us about the effort he had put into finding a good gluten free bread. His sandwiches are amazing and I have never gotten sick after eating there. They put a lot of work and pride into their food. You won’t be disappointed and your sandwich won’t crumble in your hands! I am so glad I can finally enjoy eating a delicious sandwich.
