I went to Puesto-Mission Valley last night with a group of friends and this restaurant went above and beyond in making sure that I had a wonderful experience. I had the manager come out to speak with me and go through everything on the menu to see which menu items wouldn’t have cross-contamination risk. I ended up ordering the Carnitas Plate and it tasted amazing. I definitely will be coming back here again and I am so excited to add a new restaurant to my list of restaurants I can eat at!

Came based on decent reviews on FMGF of their Headquarters location. Told the manger I was celiac and she said to notify the waiter. I asked if they had a dedicated fryer and sadly, they don’t so even some items marked GF will have cross contamination (taquitos, chicharones). I also avoid dairy and corn so I chose a salad and edited the contents. It was meh. Chicken was over cooked, salad didn’t have much flavor. My non Celia’s hubby had enchiladas, rice (not included) and a carnitas taco. He was happy with everything but the price.

After being assured extensively that no cross contamination would occur, my Nima device found gluten in the tacos I ordered. If you have celiac I would avoid eating here.

Many items labeled gluten free on the menu. When I let my server know I had celiac disease and had to avoid all gluten he asked if cross-contamination was an issue. When I said yes he said he would double check my order with the kitchen as some items GF items contained ingredients fried in a shared frier. He and the manager came back and helped me chose an option that would be safe for me and I was able to enjoy some delicious tacos without getting sick. Both the server and manager were very friendly and accommodating in working with me to find a celiac-safe meal.

Phenomenal food. The service was great and celiac sage items were clearly marked. I loved that they asked if I was celiac versus just “gluten friendly”. I had chips with salsa and guacamole, tacos, and corn. It was all so good I went back again the next night and had a carnitas bowl. They also had s fun selection of margaritas and non-alcoholic drinks. Definitely recommend.
