I really enjoy eating at the Pür & Simple restaurants. Staff is always very knowledgeable about gluten-free. They are clear about being gluten sensitive as there may be cross contamination in the kitchen. I had the Angus Benedict on gluten-free bread instead of the English muffin. Delicious!
Horrible experience. Staff is not knowledgable about cross-contamination & when speaking to the manager who disclosed she also had celiac disease said she personally would never eat there due to the state of the kitchen.
Waitress told me they had potato only friers & toasted bread separately. Not the case - anything in the fryer is fried with breading & 1 toaster for everything.
For safety it was recommended to only eat the eggs and fruit as everything else was to be in high cc with gluten. Disappointing as they have menu items labelled gluten-free & i’d hope for the price had better food handling in place especially for being marketed as a allergen/food conscious business.
Manager was very condescending and rude letting me know that people like me need to advocate for themselves better. Humiliating experience & from what I was told will never go back.
