This place is great. The staff are very nice and were more than willing to take any cleaning precaution they could, and allowed me to bring some aluminum foil that they dont usually have so that my sandwich could be grilled safely. I've eaten here over a dozen times now and haven't gotten sick.
Went in and said I have celiac per the previous review. Asked if worker could use a clean knife and said he could not confirm that it would be safe. He then told me not to eat there as everything is prepared together. Left hungry and disappointed that they have a wide gluten free menu, zero practices to prevent cross contamination, and don’t seem interested in serving celiac patrons.
Purebread Glen Mills PA might be gluten friendly, but employees need the customers to spell out that we are gluten intolerant or have celiacs. I asked about every ingredient on a sandwich to make sure there were no ingredients that contained gluten. Manager confirmed everything was good. Needless to say I had issues. We called the restaurant to check ingredients again and the manager said I needed to say I have celiacs or they would cut my sandwich with the same knife. Clearly they didn't understand cross contamination. Not sure how non-gluten friendly this staff really is. I do love the pictures of the dogs though.
GF bagels weren't bad. Think they were Udi's. Solid sandwich place option.
