QDOBA Mexican Eats

I have to eat gluten free due to a high sensitivity to gluten. I’ve eaten Qudoba MANY times at other locations without a problem when I order a burrito bowl. So, prior to our flight, I chose to order a burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, chicken, Pico, lettuce, and guacamole. This is my standard order at Qudoba. However, within 15 minutes of finishing my food, I began to not feel well. My stomach began to hurt, I felt bloated, and had to find a restroom stat! We almost missed our flight due to how I felt. I was miserable on the flight, but thankfully made it to our destination with only one trip to the restroom while on the plane. I think that there was either gluten in something I ate or the food was contaminated with something else. Beware, that this Qudoba location is NOT safe!!!

I ate here two times while I was delayed for eight hours and it was great! The food tasted good! I asked for ingredients from the back that hadn’t been touched yet. The staff was very knowledgeable about my needs. They had an allergen guide that was very helpful! I ordered 3 Tacos. I did NOT get sick and felt fine after!

I have eaten at a few Qdobas & never gotten sick. However at this particular location at the Indianapolis airport, I asked to verify that the meat was still gluten-free since I had not been in a while. The server told me, "Nothing is gluten-free here." I thought maybe she just did not know what gluten-free meant, so I asked to speak with the manager. He came out waving his hands and told me very dismissively, "We have nothing you can eat here. Nothing." I said I understood they could not guarantee no cross contamination, I just wanted to know if it had gluten ingredients. He wouldn't elaborate, he just kept saying, "We have nothing gluten free." He clearly just wanted me to leave. I have really "lost my appetite" for Qdoba now. I don't think I will ever go back.

I mentioned I was gluten free, the gal helping me asked if I would like her to change her gloves. I said yes please. She also grabbed multiple little cups to scoop the items I selected for my bowl. They told me the seasonings on the meat selections were gluten free but the chips and tortillas were not cause they were fried in the same oil as other things. They were very understanding and helpful. And the gal even put the little cups in a different area for each item that hadn’t had anything scooped out of it so I would be safer to avoid cross contamination. Happy with their knowledge.

Everything seems to be gluten free except for the our tortillas. I always order a bowl. I have eaten here 15+ times and have never had a bad experience.

My go-to place for a quick meal, the staff are super good at ensuring they follow allergy procedures. I’ve eaten here numerous times and have never had a problem!

The person behind the counter changed their gloves for me and I ordered a bowl with chicken and toppings. I stayed away from chips, but I had no reaction at all. Seemingly pretty safe if you know what to order.
