Have dedicated GF menu. Everything I had was fantastic. Sliced prosciutto, roasted octopus, homemade GF fusilli with olive oil and arugula. Cross contamination in the kitchen would be my only worry, but had no issues. Very impressed. Place is a lot of fun, rowdy. Be sure to make reservations.
Separate Gluten free menu. Many choices. I had the Caprese salad and pasta with Cavatelli sauce (tomatoes, basil and ricotta). Very tasty! Like in Italy! The staff is great and the place is huge and crowded. Very good vibe here. Love this place!!!!
We had a great family meal at Quartino's. Our son is newly diagnosed as celiac and this was our first family vacation where he had to eat out 100% of time. Quartino's was great working with him on what he could order on the GF menu. He loved his meal. I would highly recommend Quartino's if you have a celiac in your party they did a great job explaining options and the non GF food was outstanding.
We enjoyed a delicious Italian meal here, family style. They brought out rice crackers instead of bread and the server was really on top of our celiac needs and checked a number of times with the kitchen. He ensured they boiled the pasta in separate water although I think this is standard protocol. Unfortunately none of the desserts are gf although they have sorbet. Overall a safe and great experience!
I have crohn's and I've found that gluten free food eases my symptoms. The food here was very tasty. I ordered the ribs, sautéed spinach, and chocolate gelato. The chocolate gelato wasn't on the gluten free menu, but the waiter said that it didn't have gluten. I'm not sure which of the foods I ate caused it, but I had a stomach ache afterwards.
I went here based off of reviews from another site. I am so glad I did!!! The gf fusilli was perfectly cooked and the vodka sauce made me want to lick the plate. I tried the duck prosciutto and another type of salami and again it was awesome!!! The manager checked on is three times to make sure we were happy. My 6 year olds were happy!
Great place! We just had wine and got a plate with cheese, meat, and little sides. They have a GF menu and it looked like they had good options for meals too. Everything was great and we were able to sit outside and people watch while enjoying the beautiful weather! Hope to go back for a meal next time we're in town!
We liked it so much the first time that we went back again two days later. I have celiac and safely enjoyed two fabulous meals. The first visit was a snack, so we ordered a meat/cheese tray, which turned out to be enough for a meal. They put my gluten free crackers on the huge tray of delicious meats and brought my husband a plate of delicious bread on a separate plate. It was all simply perfect. Be sure and ask what other meats are available besides the ones on the extensive gluten free menu. There are several! The next visit was gluten free pasta. The bartender/servers are crazy knowledgable about cross-contamination and assured me there was separate water and procedures for gluten free orders. My husband had the non-gf ravioli, and although it was his view of "traditional" ravioli smothered in red sauce, he said it was very good. I used the regular menu as inspiration for my gluten free pasta creation. Deeeelish! No problems for two meals. We almost never eat at the same restaurant twice on a a trip. We just couldn't say no!!
Celiac family had a great experience here. The kids had pasta, while we had a diverse array of tapas. I loved the clams and vodka sauce. We had fondu and sorbet. The food was reasonably priced, but the wine I had was ok. The waiter was knowledgable, but the staff brought out gluten bread on our food twice. They took it back without complaint and appear to have gone through the trouble to remake each dish as requested. They comped our dessert, which was unnecessary. We were just happy they took us seriously.
In my pre-diagnosis days, I used to love making my own pasta and this was my favorite place to eat. I had the gluten free pasta, and I literally shed a tear because I felt like I got a part of myself back. It tasted so good that I didn't feel like it was only great for being gluten free. Food is amazing and the large amount of options made me feel like a "normal" person going out to eat.
Yes. Yes. A million times yes! I am extremely sensitive to gluten and cross contamination with gluten (not to mention my list of other food issues) and they were so amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff went above and beyond. If you want the best environment possible (for any mood), best customer service, best food, and a stress free night this is the place for you! The manager Alysia is also incredible. She will definitely make you come back time and time again!
Wow!! Not only could they accommodate my family who has celiac plus dairy and soy allergies but the food was phenomenal. Additionally, they squeezed us in for a reservation when I called to check about allergens. They were totally booked but found us a spot at the time we wanted since our dining options are so limited. Yes, it is noisy but what bustling restaurant in Chicago isn't? Outside seating takes care of that... We took our 4 and 8 year olds and they loved every bite. Fantastic service. Highly recommend!!!
My husband and I went at 8pm on a Saturday night. It was so loud, i had to shout standing next to my husband or else we couldn't hear each other. We had higher expectations, since they have such a large gluten free menu. We were seated and given menus. We requested their gluten free menus; several minutes later she brings us only one menu. We had baskets of bread dumped onto our table twice (lots of back waiters and expediters). We placed our order with our server: prosciutto, fontina cheese, capresse salad, and shrimp risotto. Various expediters brought various courses at different times. The prosciutto and cheese selections were plated together with a stack of bruschetta (gluten) on the plate. It was so loud, the expediter couldn't hear us. When he finally heard us, he indicated that the server didn't specify gluten free on the ticket. The risotto was good, but they brought us sausage instead of shrimp (bill said shrimp risotto). We ended up eating it anyhow, since it was a long time before server ever checked up on us. Food was tasty, but service was terrible. The loud room made communication difficult. When you could talk with an expediter, they were helpful. I can't believe that they have such a large gluten free menu, yet no way to code the ticket so that the chef/expediter knows it is gluten free. That may have prevented them from trying to serve us gluten so many times, if the expediters checked tickets before delivering plates. We won't be back again. Oh--and there are no gluten free crackers/bread, so bring your own or go without. :-(
