Really uncomfortable dining experience. When I asked if they could let the kitchen know of a gluten allergy/celiac, the woman at the front scoffed. Then gave us completely different food even though it wasn’t busy at all. Not sure why our experience was so poor given all of the positive reviews. Didn’t seem to care about food safety.

Absolutely delicious food!! Get the sweet fried plantains and the cachapas. Husband has Celiac. 80% of the menu is GF. They use dedicated fryers. The food is inexpensive. Bare bones inside eating- better for take out.

This was phenomenal. I tried a few different things (arepa and a couple of empanada). I would go back tomorrow in a heartbeat. Truly some of the best. Super safe and options you cannot get anywhere else!!!

We eat here about 1x a month (takeout) This is my favorite takeout spot in NJ since moving here last year. The food is incredible. The GF options are so impressive and a huge relief. The staff is KIND, Patient, knowledgeable.

The arepas are fantastic. Legit a mouth watering sandwich that celiacs and non celiacs will devour. My personal favorite is the jawn empanada. Feel like it is a fantastic comfort food (cheesesteak in a deep fried corn empanada). Thank goodness I don’t live closer or I’d be 15-20 pounds heavier!

This place is AMAZING 10/10 Everything was great. Almost the whole menu is Gf and I felt very safe here. Ordered a little bit of everything and brought stuff home. Love this place and the staff was super nice. The had apple pie empanadas which were unbelievable.

Great experience. Plantain fries, yuca fries, and the empanadas were super good. Empanadas were also okay. Got the churro chips for desert with chocolate sauce which were also great. Definitely recommend.

Just had a great dinner here last night! We had Arepas, Empanadas, Yucca Fries, and Tajadas (sweet plantains) and everything was fresh and delicious. The food is Venezuelan and the majority of the menu is naturally GF. There are only two or three things that aren’t GF (churros, tequenos, and the fried steak I think) but they will tell you what to steer clear of if you ask and they said they have dedicated fryers for the GF food. The website has the GF stuff clearly marked as well. This is my third time eating there and I haven’t had any issues!

Being able to order with reckless abandon is a freeing experience. Every single item we ordered was delicious and more importantly safe for me to eat. 10/10 would recommend.

The best in NJ. If you are a real coniseur of Latin food and demand fresh ingredients, go to Que Ricas. Tip handsomely, there is an older woman who cooks there and she deserves the best!

OMGGGGG SOOOO FREAKING GOOD. Made from scratch Venezuelan food. It doesn’t get better than that. Only a small looking family in the kitchen. They were able to talk to me about how to modify my order to be free of gluten. They were very aware and knowledgeable. Excellent Venezuelan food, most of which is designated on the menu as gluten free, including arepas, empanadas, and platters. Those things that are not gluten free are clearly marked. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The shredded beef and chicken are excellent and the arepas are crispy, tender, and flavorful.
