Wait staff were kind Didn’t get sick afterwards Told me I can have grilled chicken w out the piri piri sauce
The wait staff said that only the obvious things (breads) and a spinach dish had gluten, but beware of small things-- we tried to order the hot wings, and were told later that the butter used for the sauce had gluten in it. Otherwise, their peri peri chicken is great and GF, as are their fries (only fries and hot wings are fried in the oil, pre-sauce). The one major downside for this place is how long it takes to get a seat and get your food. From start to finish, we were here for 2.5+ hrs. The staff were extremely disorganized and weren't seating people when tables were free, and we saw some tables waiting for up to an hour before a waiter even acknowledged them, much less brought out their food. Go during off hours when it's emptier!!
Casual environment with a somewhat limited menu, but had gluten free options. The wait staff was completely familiar with celiac. I felt very comfortable that it was safe. Good place for a quick meal or snack!

Très bonnes nourritures et satisfaisant pour notre garçon celiac qui pouvait manger les mêmes choses que nous. Poulet piri-piri était excellent, les frites et les côtes de porc on fait le plaisir de notre tout petit et la salade était rafraîchissante.
Best spot in Ponta Delgada that I could find! My server spoke great English and one of the workers in the kitchen is allergic to gluten and knew all about cross contamination. Overall great experience and great taste with confidence in safety.
Amazing for gf. Delicious piri piri chicken. Fries are gf too!
We ordered on piri-piri chicken, one grilled breast chicken and grilled veil. The piri-piri was tasty as hell. Only downside was that it is small chicken andcooked with skins and bones. Service was also good.

The soup may contain lactose. Ask a co-worker before ordering. As a rule, any celiac can eat our meals. The oil used for frying is only used for french fries and spicy chicken wings. We do not advise those who are intolerant to nuts to eat fried foods such as spicy chicken wings, french fries or chicken sauce, as the oil may contain traces of nuts, such as peanuts."
Only the garlic bread and spinach creme have gluten. There appeared to be a separate bread zone away from the kitchen where they cut the bread. Dedicated fryer and delicious food! Our son is very sensitive and he has no issues. Menu in person doesn’t show allergies but the online one does.
We ended up eating here 3 different times during our stay in Ponta Delgada. I have celiac disease and my boyfriend usually orders gluten free so we can share, and we both loved it! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was very kind and a good knowledge of gluten free, and I did not get sick once. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free except for a couple items which they informed me of, the fries are in a dedicated fryer which was awesome. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting celiac or not!
I have been twice and I strongly raccomend it! They do not have GF menu but they understand the issue and suggest what can be fine. I ordered pork ribs and fries (they have a separate fryer) and tosato Salad: everything was delicious even if we wait a lot to get our order.
The VERY BEST Authentic Portuguese barbecue fire pit ribs and chicken (frango) also Portuguese chorizo on a barbecue fire pit! Leaving for last the dedicated French Fry fryer! OMG Please don’t pass this gem up when at the Azoré Island of Portugal! Friendly and clean! Enjoy friends
