I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and knowledge of what it meant to be Celiac safe. The waitress was very reassuring saying “ the kitchen is really good about making sure the food is GF” and clearly it was because I had no problem. My meal was chicken and broccoli Alfredo with a GF roll and it was great !
We live in the area and have ordered takeout from here, but unfortunately have not had good luck. I had been assured at in-person dining that their hand cut French fries are fried in a dedicated GF fryer, but my Nima sensor reported something different with take out. The GF baked chicken tenders also tested gluten found when doing take out tonight (12/29/23). Could be a different in person dining experience, but not sure.
I ordered a garden salad with gluten free baked chicken tenders....my salad came with croutons. Chicken tenders were ok a bit dry. I got a gluten free lava cake to take home and when I got home I read the ingredients on the sauce it has malted barley extract. So I would say eat at your own risk. **Edit** November 4th 2023 So I gave them another try and ordered gluten free chicken fingers and fries. Excellent food and dedicated fryer per waitress. Will be back.
Pretty good selection of gf items, pizza was better then many I've tried
The Red Blazer has a dedicated fryer. They prepare the fries and potato skins in this fryer but not the chicken fingers (which are baked). They also have pizza and pasta. We've tried it all. It's one of our go-to places and we have never been sick after eating here (celiac)
Gluten free desserts Include berry crisp, creme Brule and chocolate mousse!
I had a great experience at Red Blazer. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable and ran through the many options that could be made GF including sandwiches/burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, fries, homemade salad dressings/sauces, GF bread crumbs for the broiled seafood dishes, and desserts. I had no issues or side effects after my meal from cross contamination which I commonly do at many restaurants. Definitely recommend!
I used to enjoy the GF pizza here! They used to use Zeia’s GF crust from Ashland NH. I ordered the pizza this time and was really disappointed to see (and taste) that it was definitely not what I expected, and the taste was *not* good. I wouldn’t recommend the pizza. I left with a stomach ache - not sure if it’s hunger, gluten, or stress! Staff were friendly.
The wait staff was knowledgeable and took my concerns seriously. While there is not a separate gluten free menu there are many options to choose from (ask your server) and several labeled GF desserts. They do have dinner rolls, but you will need to pay an extra $1. Overall my meal was good, I felt safe eating there, and I did not get sick.
They have a separate gf menu but the quality of the food isn’t good. And service is always slow!
UPDATE: I went there for brunch and they had NO CLUE about what cross contamination is. And they had very few options. They handed me my own serving spoon and told me it’ll be safe if I go to the buffet with my own spoon... even though that’s not how cross contamination works
I had their GF buff chic tenders and French onion (no crouton)- very yummy! They have a ton of choices for pizza, sandwiches, and salads. For the sweet tooth lover- tapioca, chocolate trifle, and lava cake are available. I highly recommend!
Great gluten free fine dining. Knowledgeable staff. Amazing gluten free options. Delicious.
They have GF pastas and other items. Chicken tenders, but not a dedicated fryer. GF dinner rolls were excellent! Also some desserts available. I had chicken, tomato, artichokes, spinach on pasta. It was excellent. Better options than other places I've gone to in the area.
Gluten free replacements for bread, rolls, pasta, and breadcrumbs. Waitress let me know of any items with a possibility of cross contamination.
Food only ok. Gluten free options but overall subpar. Scallops wrapped in bacon and bacon wasn't crispy. Everything just seemed to be put together lazily.
CRAZY SLOW SERVICE !!! so if your in a hurry dont come when your hungry. If you want to have a good conversation with your spouse you'll have plenty of time to talk. If you order a GF roll before your dinner they will charge you for it, but not for reg. rolls. But the food and the service was good. Great Gluten-Free options!!! I'm rating this a 4 based on Gluten-Free options, if I was rating for over all I'd give them a 3. Seriously, it was slow !
Most of the menu was gluten free or could easily be made gluten free. They have gf bread, bulky rolls, pasta, dinner rolls, chicken tenders, and all salad dressings. Our waiter was very knowledgable and helpful. The wait was minimal but it wasn't very busy. I could see it being longer when it is crowded because everything seemed to be carefully made from scratch. They also had 4 different gluten free desserts made by their pastry chef. We went for the chocolate lava cake but there was also chocolate mousse, tapioca pudding, and an ice cream truffle. We will definitely be going back again soon!
Service is a little slow but the GF options are Phenomenal.
The server was very knowledgeable about gluten free eating, as was the kitchen staff. They can make all their sandwiches on gluten free bread, have a gluten free lasagna, and a gluten free lava cake as part of the dessert tray.
