Red Geranium Restaurant

I’m not sure where to start…we had dinner here and the server really didn’t want to be bothered with our food allergies. My husband has Celiac disease and I have a dairy allergy. This is a very nice upscale restaurant, so with that being said, I expect some kind of accommodation for food allergies. My husband ordered a steak and it was delicious. I had the seafood platter and it wasn’t very good. Not fresh tasting. The next morning we had breakfast there and the server was just plain snarky!! What is going on??? If only people knew how hard it is to travel with food allergies, maybe they would be more understanding! My breakfast was much better than my dinner and my husband’s was also good. Just bad service!! Unfortunately, there aren’t any other options in New Harmony!!

There are only a couple of options on the menu, but if you like steak, chicken or seafood, you’ll be fine. New Harmony isn’t exactly a booming town, but it’s beautiful, and the restaurant has wonderful atmosphere. Sit outside or in. I had salmon over one of the salad options, but there is also chicken, steak or scallops. My food was delicious. I am an extremely sensitive celiac, so I came with a can of tuna as plan B. This was much better.
