I eat here and haven't got sick. I always get shrimp, mashed potatoes, and a salad. Once I did get croutons on salad and spoke with the manager and she made sure the situation was fixed.
The listing needs to be updated. They do not have a gluten-free menu. They have a allergen list instead. The serving staff needs additional training as far as gluten is concerned.
Managers are excellent and knowledgable about the gluten free needs. They have a new menu with a few additional GF items! Yay!
Not a ton of gluten free selections, but the staff knew what I could eat and I was not glutened. I had lobster, shrimp, and vegetables.
The manager, Alejandro, and our server, Sean, were both very attentive and caring. The manager personally oversaw our food and made sure it was properly prepared. They really understood cross contamination also. I did NOT get sick and I’m very sensitive. So excited to have had Red Lobster after so many years!
Ashley G was the best server we've ever had. She went above and beyond to make our visit a great experience. She was very attentive, quickly noted my allergies, and kept checking to make sure everything was safe. Would highly recommend this location to anyone! 😍 This Red Lobster has great staff and is training their employees right, especially when it comes to food allergies. Bravo! Shrimp scampi, caesar salad without croutons, garlic mashed potatoes, and ice cream sundaes are all safe. I have eaten these here many times with no reaction. Very attentive staff that is well trained with regards to allergies. Allergen Wizard on their website helps to narrow down what you can eat!
They have a gluten free menu, and notes of where to find it on the bottom of each menu page. But before I noticed that, I asked the server about GF menu, and she said they didn’t have one. I ordered off the gluten free menu and didn’t have a reaction. I will be hesitant to go back because the server had no clue, and I wasn’t confident that my food wouldn’t be contaminated. Not impressed with this location.

We had an exceptional experience here. If you can work past the difficult to maneuver multi allergy menu...they will be able to create a safe gluten free (and dairy free in our case) meal for you. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable that our daughter had safe food. She really enjoyed her grilled scallops, baked potato, and steamed broccoli and the best part...no reaction!
Red Lobster is not a Gluten Safe location. They continued to put our lobster roll on bread when we asked for the bread to be left off the plate, we eventually gave up. Even when we specifically asked for for no croutons on the salad, they said we could could pick them off. They tried to make amends by giving us a free brownie. Gluten was a foreign word to them. As always we were patient, calm and polite. We tried to educate lovingly.
Server and hostess were very knowledgeable about gluten free. The allergen book has stars to indicate if there’s a chance of cross contamination. I got the surf and turf with lobster tail/NY strip steak. Baked potato, coleslaw, and side salad. It was all wonderful, and way too much to eat :)
I ordered a salad, snow crab legs, and baked potato. Staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful. I ate here without being glutened. I gave it a four star just because there wasn’t a very large variety that was gluten free.
Very limited options. Ordered gluten-free cheesecake from the online menu. Confirmed with woman taking order that it was gluten-free. Arrived to pick up order and found out cheesecake was not gluten-free and had not been for the past 10 months, even though their website says otherwise.
I have had really good experiences with Red Lobster before... however this was not. We got glutened, nothing we had should have been a problem, so I expect they didn't follow good procedure here in prepping our meals. Beyond that it was just very slow.
I ran out of the restaurant crying! I told them I have celiac disease and they told me they have an allergy menu. They presented me with a huge binder full of spread sheets. It was overwhelming and I couldn't navigate it. It was unbelievable that they would present such because it was impossible to read it and determine what to order. I was so frustrated and the server had no response. I got upset and ended up tearing up and running out to the car before causing a scene. My husband left a tip for the water we drank and we left. The disease is very difficult to deal with and things like this make it so much worse. The staff was ignorant and the company clearly doesn't care about guests like me.
Good gluten free option for seafood. The waitress was very knowledgeable. You have to read the allergen list,but they make it user friendly. It does say french fries are GF but they are not. No dedicated fryer. Some of the meals are not listed as GF, only because they are served with rice pilaf. if you order without it you will be fine.
Food was good! They have a great allergen menu. It's online. Have the manager help you. You choose the allergens and it helps you pick your food. (The paper menu does suck so I'd suggest the online allergen menu website). No gluten free pasta or the like, but you can at least know what doesn't have gluten (or soy, etc). The waitress was a little shocked at the various allergens in the food.
Very attentive and understanding of celiac disease. Allergen menu very detailed for all allergens and easy to follow. Price was not high for gf. Server verified everything with the kitchen and told me how my food would be prepared. Meal was very good and I was confident of how safe it was for me. Excellent service.
It's dangerous to eat here for Gf food. It all depends on the servers and the chef you got for the day. Recently, we got a pretty bad experience for GF order of my husband. He ordered salmon without sauce and absolutely without rice but the server brought the dish with sauce and rice. We pointed out the problem and he asked if he could bring a clean plate so we can move the fish away from rice? At the moment, you know there is no chance he has the clue about food allergies. Apparently, he is lack of training in the food business. We decided to pack the food to go and toss it later because we didn't want to get the kid fired for the mess up. We are not going back there for sure!
The culinary manager had Celiac and he came to our table as soon as we got there. He said regardless of the allergen list, he could make most items on the menu GF for me. He said the fries were not in a dedicated fryer buy that he eats them almost every day and it never bothers him. After I ordered he went over my order with the server and modified it so it would be GF. Best part--the cheesecake is GF.
Waiter had no knowledge of celiacs or gluten free. He kept bringing us bread......two baskets of bread towering in the middle of our table even thought I kept explaining we couldn't eat wheat. No precautions were taken to insure our safety. I am so ill today....we will never return.
