I have been a worker in the kitchen for 5 years now. They are very accommodating for most common allergies. Just be sure to alert your waiter. Don’t eat anything out of fryer as it’s a shared fryer. The baked potato’s and broccoli are packaged and cooked separately. Making them perfect sides for celiacs. The rice is pasta rice so be sure to ask for no rice if getting grilled shrimp. Careful about the salad bar as it’s easy to get cross contaminated. For dessert, you can ask for vanilla ice cream with Carmel, chocolate, or fresh strawberries!
I perused their Allergen menu online before ordering. I confirmed with my waitress that I needed Gluten Free for celiac, and I was ordering snow crab legs and crispy potatoes. The order took a bit longer than usual as the cook was newer and wasn’t sure how to prepare my food safely- so the manage prepared mine on his own. It was brought out separately and was delicious! Feeling great with no symptoms.
I had a great recent experience around Christmas time. My waiters girlfriend had celiac- and he took it very seriously. He pulled a chair over and sat down and went through the whole kitchen to table process, taking notes of what was ok, not ok, and needs to be changed. Then brought the manager out and had him verify the changes they were making for me. And then the meal was brought out with gloves. Honestly- everything was a bit over the top, but I was SO thankful they were willing to be, on behalf of those of us who need it!
I was a little skeptical to visit but willing to try a new place. When I asked for a gluten free menu (which their website advertises) I was given a binder with the food allergen list. Most all the meats were marked as possible of cross contamination, because of cooking method, even if they didn’t have gluten containing ingredients. I ended up choosing the Alaska salmon with baked potato and grilled asparagus. I also snitched some fries (which are marked as possible cross contamination) off my husband’s meal. I did take a glutenease enzyme before eating just to be cautious, but I was ok after eating here. Still, I would be careful and probably ask more questions or ask for more precautions of the staff if I come here again.
