Been here 4 times no issues. Tested my food today, chips and salsa were gluten free but Nima sensor tested gluten found in the carne asada fajitas, beans and rice and corn tortillas. Very scary. I don’t understand what went wrong. They said the fajitas seasoning is not made in house and that could be the issue. So glad I tested the food first.
Went here for lunch to check it out prior to booking an event. Very helpful staff in the planning and organization of the event. Great bartending staff in advising of the drink options and custom drinks for the event. The lunch we had was fantastic. Great tasting and gluten free. Rapid service and an amazing atmosphere. The vast majority of the menu is gluten free. Separate fryer for the chips which are also gluten free.
Red O is absolutely delicious. Most of the menu is corn based, and only a few items have gluten (like kids burritos). The fryer is gluten free so we could actually eat their chips and salsa. How often do you come by a menu that marks what has gluten instead of what's gluten free because most is celiac safe!!! So much to choose from that's celiac friendly.
First visit: Most of the menu is gluten-free, so there’s less chance of cross contamination. There were many options and our food was great. Our server was also knowledgeable.
Second visit: server was reluctant to note gluten allergy on my order. Said the item was gluten free because it said so on the menu. I tested the food before eating and found gluten. They offered to remake it but seemed ignorant about cross contamination. Be careful. I took the food to go and gave it to a family member.
I was able to eat guacamole and chips because they have a dedicated fryer!!
My best friend had the chicken fajitas and they came out with at least 5lbs of chicken with onions and pepper on the plate with homemade tortillas, rice and beans on the side! I had the rib eye tacos and they were amazing and came with tons of meat and a side of rice and beans.
Moses was an amazing server answered all of my questions and was very considerate of my needs. I will be back they were also very considerate of Covid they require masks until eating, take your temperature at the door, social distances tables and were constantly cleaning.
Solid Mexican food combined with knowledgeable staff and ... no reaction at all from me so appears to be celiac safe. (I’m pretty sensitive.) Fun atmosphere and good drinks. Wish the waitress had been a tad more friendly but I’m not going to be picky given everything else.
So many options! Staff very knowledgeable about needs for very sensitive celiacs. Corn Chips are in fried in dedicated fryer... best we've had!
This place is amazing! I'm used to having very few selections when my husband and I go out, so I was pretty excited to find that 99% of their dishes are gluten free! In fact, there were only 3 items on the menu that contained gluten, and they were clearly marked. Chicken enchiladas were so good! Oh, and their tortilla chips are gluten free too!!!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Kids ordered quesadilla and those were so good I could have just ate that for dinner. Celiac aware. All corn tortillas used and only the mole sauce has gluten. No reaction here and waitress was very aware of cross contamination issues
I typically like eating Mexican cuisine at hole in the wall type places but that went out the window once I got diagnosed with celiac and severely damaged villi. This place has good food and I can't wait to go back to try more items. It's more upscale, so don't get shocked at the prices. The major thing here is that I feel safe. They have a dedicated fryer for the chips but the thing that amazed me most is that the menu marked the items that contained gluten...not the other way around! The staff seems knowledgeable about food allergies and will put an allergy alert on your ticket if you let them know....so again, I feel safe eating here. Come here for dinner on a special occassion or for lunch and try the prix fixe menu that is a great deal...or for happy hour for drinks and appetizers. Munch away at the chips and salsa...maybe some guac or ceviche too.
