Shortly after I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I went to Red Robin. I ordered a veggie burger on a gluten-free bun.
I had no idea how to order or tell the waiter about my celiac disease.
The waiter asked me, "Are you allergic to it? Or is there some other reason?"
I replied, "Because I have celiac disease."
The waiter said, "Oh, I understand!"
After a while, the manager brought me a burger with a colored flag on it and said, "This was cooked separately. The cooks are cooking with masks and gloves. These fries are also gluten-free. Don't worry about anything, enjoy your meal 😃
I was nervous that day because it was the first time I went out for dinner since I was diagnosed.
I was so touched by the wonderful response of the server and the manager. I cried while eating the veggie burger.
Red Robin, especially the Myrtle Beach location, is my favorite restaurant forever.
Red Robin has gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many locations also have dedicated fryers for gluten free-fries. Please verify with your server.
I had my first Red Robin experience this week, and I was not disappointed. I asked the hostess if they had a gluten-free menu as we were being seated, and she pulled up the GF menu at the tablet on the table and explained everything to me. She also told me I could ask her or the manager if I had any questions. All the food was great and I didn’t get sick. I call that a win!
They have changed a ton of menu items. Alot of their toppings for the burgers have moved to mass production and now are made with preservatives to improve shelf life. I ordered a black and bleu burger and was informed that the sauteed onions and cheese sauce were no longer gluten free... WHAT!?!
Very tasty gluten free buns! The manager was super helpful in giving me options and making sure I got exactly what I needed.
Had a great experience here the staff really cared and took gluten allergies and Celiac very serious. Our server was wonderful she made sure everything was perfect. She repeated the order of back several times and even had the kitchen manager come over and talk to us. The kitchen manager herself prepaired the food. She's very familiar with allergies and took everything very seriously and made it safe. They have a whole allergy kit that use when they prepare food. Best Red Robin experience I have ever had! ask for your server to be Lisa when you go in She is highly trained and allergies and has been doing this for 15 years
My bun was over microwaved and I barely could pull it apart with my hands. I was promised fries were gf. I was sick my the time we reached the hotel.
we waited over an hour and I was sick almost instantly my husbands burger came out cold
This was our first visit to Red Robin and we will definitely be back. Shakira seated us promptly and fused me through the GF options on the menu. I had the turkey burger on a roll with cole slaw from the GF menu. The service, food and ambience were enjoyable and we are looking forward to going back soon.
Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Gluten free bun was very good.
Nice to have a burger on a good GF bun and fries as well. They do have a designated fryer for their fries. Staff was fairly knowledgeable, and when my waitress didn't know the answer to my question, she asked someone who did. Did have to look up the menu on my phone instead of them having a written GF menu.
Great gluten free bun. Good bacon cheeseburger and fries, nice to go out and get a good burger! The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. Nice choice.
Servers were very knowledgeable and understanding about my needs. The food was delicious and kept well separated from my boyfriend's gluten-containing meal. I was very impressed and happy with my experience and cannot believe that someone actually gave this wonderful establishment a poor rating!!
my experience was very poor. servers had no idea what gluten was or what products contain them. food was mixed up and in contact with gluten items. beware!
My 8 year old gets so sick after eating here. He gets a kids meal- burger and fries. I have a feeling it’s the fries as I just noticed they are not listed as safe on their allergy website. We are disappointed as we considered Red Robin as one of our safe restaurants.
UPDATE: Confirmed with managers fries are NOT gluten free. See email!
