We went to Red Robin today for dinner and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwhich on a gf bun. I tested the bun with my nima tester and it is not gf. They made me a new chicken breast and brought it out with no bun. The fries are gf though!! Nima tester approved!

It’s great going to a place with a dedicated frier. Staff handled the GF requests well and food was good.

Our go to for a safe meal. 6 yo celiac, nut allergic (including shared lines), egg and soy protein allergic, loves to visit to get a burger (bring our own egg free bun) or chicken "on a stick." Pretty much the only place she can get "safe steak or sweet potato fries. So wish they had safe milkshakes/ice cream...we would have parties there.
Yes
Red Robin has gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many locations also have dedicated fryers for gluten free-fries. Please verify with your server.
Very good food. Extremely cautious about the cross contamination. Fries, buns...
Let your hostess and waitress know you are gluten free. They will bring you an iPad which will generate their allergen menu. Server was knowledgeable and I saw on the receipt that she put an allergy alert in with the order several times. Fries have a dedicated fryer so no CC but they will still have to make you a separate batch because the seasoning they put on after is not GF. With that being said, this is a chain and they use a lot of preservatives and not wholesome ingredients which make me feel crappy so I won't be going back (we only went because we had a gift card). If that stuff doesn't bother, they do handle gluten free well it seems.
Great service & very careful regarding cross contamination. Ate the avo-cobb salad there in October of 2013 when they still had the allergy binders for a menus. Corporate has now eliminated the binders & forces you to go online for an interactive allergy menu, which works as long as you have a smartphone.
My first time at a Red Robin and I loved it! Had a burger and fries (gluten free) and they came with a little purple stick in it to indicate gluten allergy. Waitress was wonderful! (They also have pretty good ranch)

Notified server GF, ALLERGY. Ordered a burger GF bun. Fine until I quickly remembered that it had steak sauce on it ISN’T GF.
After asking this server about it, he didn’t know so he wouldn’t ask the chef and he didn’t know so he sent the bottle out to me. It clearly states that it has barley vinegar in the ingredients. Seriously disappointing that the kitchen staff is preparing “gluten-free food” and they have no idea what has or doesn’t have gluten in it.
Nice way to ruin the end of my trip. And will be sick for the next couple of weeks.

This Red Robin use to be my go to place. But the last two times I have been glutenized and got sick. I longer recommend this restaurant.

Always a reliable choice. Red Robin's online allergen menu is extremely helpful and in-depth, symptomatic celiac been coming here for many years and never had a problem. It's not fine dining or anything but it's about as good as it gets for a huge chain restaurant like this.
