Worst experience I've ever had. You can't view the GF menu without your own smart phone. Once they finally brought me my burger on a GF bun, it was moldy.
Beware I eat here regularly. I ask for a manager every time and explain everything then my burger still comes on a regular but 4 out of 5 times. Remember that if it has sesame seeds it is a gluten bun.
We were a little afraid because they didn't have a printed g-f menu. The manager came out and brought us an iPad with a g-f menu. The burgers were awesome! They took extra time to make a batch of fries especially for us in their dedicated fryer. We will not hesitate to visit this location again. Our 9 year old with celiac is highly sensitive and all went well.
I have ordered to-go several times here. The staff have always been responsive to my gluten free requirements. I have not experienced any problems.
Horrible! The service was awful and they messed up my order. I visited this location with my cousin recently because I heard they offered a Gluten Free menu. When I went there, we had a good 15 minute wait before they even took our drink orders, they were not even busy that day. When they took our order, I kindly explained that I have a severe food allergy to gluten, and stressed the importance of the staff cleaning prep areas, changing gloves, etc. Two girls took my order (I'm assuming one was in training. Between the two, they should have gotten it correct though.) I ordered the Bacon burger on a gluten free bun and a small side salad with no croutons. They came out with my cousins food 20 minutes later and didn't bring mine out for another 20 minutes! When they finally brought mine out, it was clear they messed my order up. They brought out a regular burger with a sesame-seed, gluten-laced bun, as well as a salad covered in croutons. Before they could sit it down on the table, I told them the needed to take it back that I had a severe food allergy, and that was definitely not what I had ordered. They apologized and took it back. By the time the correct order came our (anther 15 minutes later), my drink was empty, and my cousin had already finished his entire meal. It gets better though, when I bit into the gluten-free bun, it was hard as a rock and stale. Between the horrible service, long waits, the allergy mix-up, and the stale food, I never plan to go back. I do not recommend this restaurant if you have Celiac disease or are Gluten-Free.
Gluten free burgers(with bun) and fries.
When I'm traveling where there is a Red Robin I have to eat there. Their burgers are consistently good at the many locations I've visited. This one had slow service and wasn't very clean but food was delicious as usual. Their gluten free buns are great.
Read their website on sources of their food. says they cannot guarantee if their suppliers change their ingredients without notice. Not reliable for celiacs.
They offered us an electronic menu that made allergen info easy.
Really helpful servers, give you an iPad where you check off things you cannot have, then you can see a real menu, I had the Ensenada Chicken prepared gluten free and it was very good. As a business traveler I typically go to chain restaurants for consistency.
They have an app that allows you to eliminate allergies from the menu. Then it shows items you can have and lists if there are sauces, ingredients, etc., that you can't have in that meal. They wrapped my chicken sandwich in lettuce like it was a bun and it was delicious.
If you have Celiac Disease this is not a safe place for you. The chance of cross contamination is too high. So disappointed in the service I had last time I was here which was on my birthday. I carefully explained to the waitress that I had Celiac Disease and I double checked that they did their very best to keep things separate. When she brought out my fries after I took one bite I realized they were not gluten free because they were covered in seasoning( he gf fries always come out plain) I told her that they were not gf and that I would need new fries. Instead of just apologizing and starting a new batch she fought me on the issue for a good 3 minutes telling me that she knew they were gluten free. But finally she said she would start a new batch. Well she never did bring it out. Not the birthday dinner I was hoping for. Not to mention I spent the rest of my birthday on the couch or in the bathroom.
Good food, I had the California chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun. The bun did not fall apart, which is a plus. Our server was great, he showed me the iPad with the allergy list where I was able to check off gluten and dairy and soy. It pulled up foods that I could have while avoiding those allergens. It showed me the food item and what would be eliminated or what substations could be made. After leaving the restaurant I started feeling like I do when I eat gluten. I won't be surprised if I vomit later today or get extremely constipated. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE CELIAC!
Ate here for the first time since being celiac. Heather was my server and she was great. She brought over an iPad and pulled up the gluten allergen menu which pulled up everything I could eat and what to remove to make it safe for consumption. It also showed options such as lettuce wrap or gf bun. She explained there is a separate fryer for the fries. My meal came out clearly marked with colored toothpicks. I look forward to a return trip. Update July 2017: Red Robin gets it. Their buns are one of the few GF I will actually waste my calories on. Their gf fries are put in the oven and are so good. Great family option.
Just found out all the oil gets filtered by the same filtering machine. So the oil used to fry gluten free fries and then the oil used for onion rings go through the same machine. So there is no way to avoid cross contamination once the filtered oil gets put back in the vat. The burgers are tasty though
Glad they changed things so I can have a burger and fries!
Great gluten free buns for burgers! If you ask for the gluten free menu they bring you an iPad. I'd say they have more options than some.
I have celiac disease. I have been here several times--GF bun is amazing and food is so good I kept trying--but I get sick every single time. Once I found a crouton at the bottom of my salad dressing cup. The employees need better allergen/celiac safe education. The food is so good but I will never go back to this Red Robin and I'm very leery of other Red Robins now!
Don't have a dedicated fryer. There a few choices for protein and veggies, but until my little celiacs can partake in the bottomless fries, we won't likely return.
