We have gone to Red Robin many times since they opened. And of all the restaurants around us, this is the one where I have NOT had an accidental gluten issue. Their GF bun is good. They have a dedicated fryer for fries (regular and sweet potato). Many of the staff are knowledgeable about GF and the management team is very eager to help when they hear someone has Gluten issues. This is a regular stop for us, because I know I can eat here without having to worry.
The staff was great, knowledgeable, and friendly! I ordered the Pig Out Double Tavern Burger (smaller than their regular, large burgers) and subbed a GF bun. That was the most delicious burger I have had since I went GF. The GF bun was very good and didn’t crumble or crumb everywhere or crack. It was supple, had the perfect moistness and spring, and is the best GF bun I’ve ever had. Red Robin has a digital menu QR code to scan and you can tailor your allergen preferences and the menu will show you what you can eat, with modifications, and what you must avoid. The GF bun had a purple flag in it to indicate GF.
Red Robin has gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many locations also have dedicated fryers for gluten free-fries. Please verify with your server.
Our server was so kind and patient as I asked my questions. They do offer gluten free buns for their sandwiches. She also informed me that the fries were done separately to avoid contamination. I trusted her and she was right, I had no issues after eating here!
Red Robin has the best burgers anywhere. We have eaten at them in many cities and have always had a good experience. The waiter was very knowledgeable about GF at this location.
My 8 year old gets so sick after eating here. He gets a kids meal- burger and fries. I have a feeling it’s the fries as I just noticed they are not listed as safe on their allergy website. We are disappointed as we considered Red Robin as one of our safe restaurants.
UPDATE: Confirmed with managers fries are NOT gluten free. See email!
