Been here multiple times and haven't gotten sick once. I always state that I have a gluten allergy and ask them not to toast the buns. Also ask for the fries to be cooked in the dedicated fryer.
Update 2: Went there recently for late lunch/early dinner, waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table, food didn't come out right, we told server we had a birthday and instead of servers singing, we were told that the servers were too busy to sign. It took us 2 hours to get out of there and at this point we will not be going back. I can't give it 0 stars, but that's all they deserve. Update: they have apparently changed management and brought in new staff. We went there recently and it was much better, so I'm changing to 3 stars. If I hadn't been to other Red Robins, I would not have known just how poor this one is compared to others. In general Red Robin does a very good job with guetin free, but this one has poor service and nasty staff. We've been there a few times, but the last attempt was the last straw, I doubt highly we'll be going back. In the past, the glue tin free meal came with a regular bun(!) and had to be sent back. Another time the service was poor, but the last one was the worst. We got there at about 2pm on a weekday, not a particularly busy time. We had 7 people (2 adults, 5 kids) and were told 30(!) minutes. While we were waiting, the kids needed to use the restroom, so they went in with 1 adult. There was an empty table that could have fit all of us, but it had not been cleaned. When we asked the manager about if, he told us, in a very nasty tone, to talk to the person doing the seating. After everyone got out of the restroom, the table still had not been cleaned and we were told we would have to wait. Needless to say we did not bother and walked across the aisle and went to Tony Roma's instead. We won't be bothering with this Red Robin again.
Have eaten at several Red Robins, most regularly at the Palisades Mall location. WARNING !!!!!! Ate there on Sat 24th September and got horribly gluten poisoned. Still very sick two days later. Have filed a formal complaint and dealing with their Risk Management Department. Eat there at your own risk if you have Celiac Disease.
HORRIBLE! Nast waitress and my burger came out all wrong! Was told they didn't have a gluten free menu and would have to look online!
The waitress was extremely helpful and even brought the manager over to help when she was unsure of an answer. Couldn't have been more friendly or helpful! Will definitely come back again!
Food is good , if they get it right. Make sure you watch everything that is brought to your table. I have gotten a regular bun more times then I can count .. But then I get my meal for free... So it works for me.
Great burgers and gf buns! They don't have a separate fryer (so French fries are not safe). Overall, Very accommodating and have many other gf options as well! Can't wait to go back!
They have a detailed GF menu and most importantly good GF buns. The bun was very good looked like the Udi's restaurant bun that I wish they had in stores. All in all a very good burger experience. Many more menu choices than a Boom Burger or Five Guys. Did I say they have GF buns?
Since going gf free, we have been thrilled to find many places offering gf buns for hamburgers, That being said, most are clearly not as good as regular. Only 2 have stood out: Cooper's Hawk in Annapolis (they bake their own) and nor, Red Robin. It was so delicious I had to check to make sure it was not gluten. (like Glory Days, the food is served with a colored marker to assure that it is gf) Our waitress was informative, the food was terrific, and we are 2 days out with no issues. We loved the burger, the plank style fries were crispy outside, creamy inside and the cole slaw fresh and yummy. We will be back and next time we will try a milk shake!!!
I had a wonderful experience! I had a GF bun with my burger. Very fresh and tasty! Endless fries in a GF fryer. Our waiter was super sweet too.
This is my first time actually reviewing and not just reading other reviews. This place is so great I have to add my two cents. Super knowledgeable, super understanding, and super, super safe!!! EDIT: This has been our go to place for two years. The last time we went we ordered the same thing we always order and both my celiac twins got violently ill. I called and the manager confirmed everything we ordered should have been safe. The unknown is the worst part because now we can’t go back since we don’t know what happened. It’s so sad.
As one of the first restaurants to offer GF bread, we’ve found Red Robin increasingly difficult - or maybe just this location? No help with what is GF; my WiFi has issues in the restaurant making it hard to look up the options; even if it will connect, the seasonal burgers are never updated to the app that we’ve been able to tell. Tonight I ordered the Grand Brie for $14.99 plus an extra $2 for a GF bun. I was so disappointed. The burger was brought to me, and I had to check to see why there was a pat of butter on my burger. It wasn’t butter. THAT was the Brie! The server came to ask if everything was delicious. I avoided eye contact, so she sent a manager. I opened the burger, and the manager proceeded to look and ask what specifically I was disappointed with. The amount of cheese? The burger? She offered a new one, but the appropriate response would be, “Oh, wow. We really feel short of the mark on that one. Let me get you another!” To their credit, the server was super sweet, and they comped my meal. Still, the food here continues to struggle on the GF spectrum compared to other places in terms of menu option being accessible, taste and quality of the GF buns, and price.
They have dedicated frier for fries and gluten free buns The seasoning for the fries says gluten free on the container It was wonderful I have celiac and its been a long time since I have been able to have a fun and fries at the same restraunt!! wooo hoo
Red Robin is one of two restaurants that we seek out in cities we are visiting. All of the wait staff have been very knowledgeable and we have never been glutened. They have a very limited selection of burgers that can be prepared gluten-free so hope over time they add to their repertoire of burgers.
Horrible!!! Not celiac friendly at all!!! The waitress assured me everything was gluten free, the manager came out and made sure of my order. They still sent out a wheat bun!!!!!!! Terrible- don’t trust them. The only reason they got one star is because I couldn’t post it without putting one star.
I always get a burger on a GF bun and GF sweet potato fries! It’s delicious and I never get sick!
We usually have a great time at Red Robin - not at this one on the corner of Robson and Thurlow Streets in Vancouver, BC. Our gluten free orders came on gluten free buns, but had other gluten containing ingredients on the sandwiches, despite the emphasis we put on the importance of keeping the food safe. If it wasn’t for a vigilant eye, two of our party would have been incredibly sick. The service otherwise was not great either. Drinks left empty for long periods. Other inaccuracies in the order. A horrible experience.
Great food. Knowledgeable waitress. GF menu with many options. Designated cooking station. One cook to handle all allergen foods and another cook to handle all other foods. Well worth the visit. I eat at a R.R. In Augusta and was very impressed. Came here, same dedication. Thank you Red Robin.
Never had any issues here and we go a lot. Love the dedicated fries fryer, don’t forget the fries seasoning, delicious!
Staff helpful and knowledgeable of Celiacs. Food good. Price good. GF menu. The menu says grilled burgers my have cross-contamination. When I asked the waitress about it she reassured me they are not cross-contaminated as they have changed the way the burgers are grilled. It was nice to eat a familiar meal with no worries.
So delicious! Server was very knowledgeable and reinsured me she would let the kitchen know it was an allergy. The bun was good too!
I have Celiac and two of my children do as well. It was my son’s birthday yesterday so we went as a family to this Red Robin location for dinner to celebrate. My husband spoke to the manager when we arrived about our needs. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. They have GF options available to peruse on a ipad (we had already looked online at home), a separate fryer for GF French fries, and a good list of options. Our waitress was also great, making sure that the GF food was clearly marked when it arrived at the table and double checking on items when I asked (tortilla chips on the top of the chili). They took good care of us and made me feel at ease, which is not easy!
Best Red Robin location we have been to so far that’s celiac friendly—my daughter didn’t get cross contamination AND we accidentally left/lost her Nima gluten sensor while dining—1 week later we called/they had found it and put in safe in case we came back looking for it! Very impressed w/this location/team!!
Had Danielle as a waitress who was very understanding and helpful even though it was a Friday night and they were very busy. The hamburger was fantastic and the bun was so good I had to make sure it was gluten free. I even bought some to take home. I waited to post to make sure I did not ha e any reactions and none whatsoever!
Told the server our needs and had no problems. Food was tasty. Had the bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack, gf bun, and fries. Burger came out with a pick in it to denote gf.
This location I would not consider safe at all. We are there after asking all our usual questions and making sure they understood we have celiacs and aren’t just sensitive. We all had reactions from the food for the next 3 days. Really sad because usually Red Robin is awesome
Great overall experience. Requested allergen menu and was given tablet to search for options. Hostess and Server were kind, friendly and concerned for our safety. We enjoyed the vegan veggie burger on gluten free bun (gf/df) and freckled lemonade. Most importantly, we did not experience any symptoms.
Went there last night and was served a burger on a regular bun, but told everyone else order was gluten free (a lettuce wrapped hamburger and a grilled chicken patty) They fixed it, but something went wrong. My husband and I both started to bloat to the point, I looked 9 months pregnant and my skin started feeling like it was tearing. We don’t know what exactly happened because there has only been one other time that I had gotten that sick and it was when I first got diagnosed and didn’t check the label on a glutenous candy.
