SWEET POTATO FRIES NOT GLUTEN FREE, FRIED IN SAME DEDICATED FRYER. SO OTHER FRIES NOT GF EITHER. READ PACKAGING. THEY HAVE WHEAT PRODUCT COATING. I have Gluten Ataxia. If exposed, it causes brain damage. I ate there several times and felt weird next day. Noticed balance slightly off. Thought I was tired. NOPE! Next time we went in I asked to see packaging for everything I ate. Their sweet potato fries are coated with the product out of Europe that falls under 20ppm, but is a wheat product. Never been back. Hate to think how much permanent damage they caused me. And Celiacs need to be careful, just cause you don't have symptoms doesn't mean that the low level inflammation won't lead to cancer per a prior Celiac Sprue President. FDA site says no product is allowed to be labeled as GF if it has a gluten containing ingredient. Though they haven't imposed regulations on restaurants yet.
Enjoyed my Wrap Burger and fries from dedicated fryer,
This was our third visit to this location and they have gotten way better. They have GF buns that are better than average and have always made my daughter (Celiac) very happy. The fries were iffy at best on previous visits. My wife (gluten sensitive) complained in the past about feeling glutened. They now have a dedicated fryer for steak fries and this last visit was nothing but smiling faces. Be sure to go early. Wait times can be long for GF orders during the rush.
Pretty safe when they are not busy and have time to be careful. I've eaten there many times with no problem but got glutened over this holiday season.
ill never go back. we got cheese fries from the gluten free menu and there was elbow noidles in our appetizer of fries. that is so deadly and dangerous, they obviously do not care about cross contamination. never comming back here. waste of time and money!!
My son is Gluten free and has a peanut allergy. The staff is knowledgeable about GF. They have an electronic allergy menu. Very helpful. They also have GF buns! They even have use separate fryers.
This is a great place to get a very good burger with GF bun and safe fries---at a very reasonable price.
Dining in is fine, but when you order to pick up is almost always a sloppy job.
Updated: food has. Even mediocre the past several times. Food doesn't come out got and staff seems annoyed by verifying gluten free. Staff is very knowledgeable about the gluten free menu. Love the fries & GF buns. It's our go to place with the kids.
Would be nice if they had gluten free veggie burger as well
Love that they have gf buns for sandwiches and burgers. Their sweet potato fries are great gluten free too. One visit here I did get a regular bun... Luckily I recognized it as being too soft and squishy to be true gluten free bread and had the server double check back in the kitchen. They ended up preparing me an entirely new meal and did not charge me for it. I appreciated the efforts they took to fix the mistake, but it does make me a tad nervous.
The gluten-free menu here is pretty good compared to other places I've been to. Lots of different burger options. (I usually get the one with bacon and a fried egg on top - YUM!) They now feature a gluten-free bun at the Gurnee location and it's delicious! I love being able to have a normal burger alongside nice, hot steak fries from a dedicated frier and not have to worry. Sad there aren't really any appetizer or dessert options, but if you're looking for a good, inexpensive dinner, this is your place.
Red Robin in Gurner has a special GF bun. Yummmmmy!
Zero Stars!!! Red Robins Gluten Free menu SUCKS!! It's honestly two burgers and a chicken breast and hummus. You're paying full price for their regular plate that comes with trimmings and sides for just meat. I DO NOT recommend eating there if you need gluten free.
This is my first time actually reviewing and not just reading other reviews. This place is so great I have to add my two cents. Super knowledgeable, super understanding, and super, super safe!!!
We have been to Red Robin in Providence Town Center Royersford many times. Their hamburgers are as good as a burger I have had anywhere. Great roll too. My one grandson loves their regular burgers, so when it is his turn to pick where to go, he always picks Red Robin, which is fine with me.
I enjoyed a GF burger, the bun was delicious! And GF cooked fries, also very tasty. They also informed me their fry sauce is mixed with a BBQ sauce that contains gluten (so thankful they informed me of that) so I asked for mayo so I could make my own GF friendly fry sauce with ketchup and seasoning on the table that was labeled GF.
Had to write a quick review for for my experience tonight - the manager (Rhonda) was absolutely phenomenal, maybe the best GF meal I've ever had. She came out after I let our server know I was celiac and went through the allergen list with me - when we couldn't figure out why the mushroom burger wasn't listed as a gf option even when the bun was swapped out, she went in the back and fried some mushrooms in olive oil herself! Rhonda brought up their separate fryer before I had even mentioned it, and brought out my dinner wearing a purple rubber glove to ensure as little contamination as possible. She was wonderful and I'll certainly be returning to this location, hopefully whenever she's on shift?
The wait staff was not very knowledgeable about gluten or any other allergies. They took an excessively long time bringing out our food. The bun smelt terrible and was inedible. There was no one coming to check on how our food was. Very disappointed
I once found a very small onion ring under my fries! Everyone was sorry. but when I called back the following morning the manager talked down to me when I assured him that I made it clear we were both gluten free. I would have returned if not for such a treatment. I might return in time. but not with the same trust I used to have.
My husband and I go on dates here often. They have seperate fryers! Love their fries and the burgers are great. My husband eats GF with me so we just tell them we both have celiac disease. We've mever had an issue and I've never gotten sick. Everybody is extremely knowledgeable! They also have their allergy menu online so you can use your phone to see what you can safely eat.
I go to the Red Robin in Nashua NH at the Pheasant Lane Mall on Daniel Webster Highway and my server is absolutely fabulous. I have many food allergies and Celiac Disease and Ashleigh takes great care of me and my food. I ask for her every time I go there because I know I do not have to worry about cross contamination. Thank you Ashleigh for caring and treating me like family. I only go there when she is working because I trust her so much. If you have allergies please ask for Ashleigh she will take awesome care of you or anyone else in your group. MaryBeth
I have gotten sick the last 2 times I've been . first I ordered a drink and they forgot to mention they don't clean the blenders so I got sick, second time I got a burger and I deeply explained I have celiac , they brought my food out and the burger was on a regular bun. so I sent it back and my guess is they just swapped it onto a gluten free one because I got sick anyways. talked to a girl who works there and said they arent as safe and caring as everyone thinks. just be careful!
Recently there. My Celiac son was able to get a bacon cheeseburger in a GF bun. He actually commented on how much he liked the bun. Dedicated fryer!!! So he was able to get the fries. I did research before and I knew to get the fries without seasoning. But when we ordered the GF bun first, the waitress put under the fries no- seasoning before I even asked- which told me she had been educated!!! Very happy!!! My son had no issues after eating there!
it says gluten free and I have eaten there for two years with no problem but the last 3 times I've gotten sick. .I question each time about cooking and told every thing they do was told all French fries are gluten free..what.!!?? so maybe they need more training but will not eat there again. be careful! 1
The staff was friendly and I was excited about the extensive GF options available. Unfortunately there were a number of stray macaroni noodles mixed in the supposedly gluten free “chili chili”. I spoke with the manager who was sincerely apologetic and he promised to put some distance between the chili and the macaroni In the kitchen. I might give them another try but I will definitely stay away from the chili.
I've ate here numerous times and while I've only been glutened once I find that almost 90% of the time my burger and fries have been served to me, they have been lukewarm to cold. So when I go in I have to talk to a manager to make sure they bring my food out hot. It's ridiculous that I have to request this. The gluten free bun is just okay. It would be better if they could toast it first.
Gluten free options are great! Really good gf burger and fries for our celiac daughter. I loved the gf bun. No issues. They actually have an iPad menus for allergies, you can pick which allergens you want to avoid and all of your appropriate options populate.
I have Celiac and I was very impressed by my experience at this Red Robin today. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was extremely nice and knowledgable. I got a simple burger on a gluten free bun with a side of their fries (they have a dedicated GF fryer) and honey mustard. It was great - we will be returning!
A GLUTEN FREE EXPERIENCE!!! I went to Red Robin for a dinner with my family, we aren’t used to trusting people to make my food for me because even the slightest cross contamination can get me sick. When you get to the table they hand you a tablet instead of a menu if you have a food allergy. You click your allergies and it tells you everything you are safe to have. This is the best way to order gluten free and you can trust red robin that they won’t cross contaminate ANY of your food. Awesome family restaurant for a good meal even Gluten Free
Never had a problem here, anyone I’ve spoken to seemed knowledgeable enough to keep celiac friendly
Excellent. Have dined here several times. Very knowledgeable. I’m very sensitive and still have never been contaminated here. Usually get the turkey burger on GF bun, fries from dedicated frier.
I ordered to go and the bartender and waiter were both very knowledgeable and helpful. They knew everything off the top of their heads down to every sauce that had gluten in it.
This Red Robin used to be very careful about their gluten free food. They would bring it out separately and it had the purple picks in the food to indicate allergy. Well the past year they stopped doing that, and I would always double check - are you sure this is gluten free? And the waitress would say “oh yes yes”. Well tonight we went there and I specified gluten free and the waiter assured me that their fries are cooked in soybean oil separate from everything else. I accepted his answer. Well when my sweet potatoes fries were brought out to me, they were old & luke-warm like they had been sitting around for awhile (gross) and they tasted like onion rings!! Which means onion rings were cooked in the same fryer. This happened to me one other time at a Red Robin in MI and my fries actually came out with pieces of the onion rings mixed in. My chicken sandwich was fine - I got it on the lettuce wrap. Anyways, my the time we left the restaurant my heart was racing & I was sweating and now I have gastrointestinal distress. I would not recommend it anymore. I used to love Red Robin cause they were so careful!! I just wish they would change back to how they were doing it before.
Waiter Zac understood Celiac, provided me with gluten-free menu, and assured me of their processes for avoiding cross-contamination. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries (dedicated fryer). First burger out since diagnosed — SO good to have a burger on a bun again! And they gave me so many fries, I couldn’t finish them all! Felt fine after. Recommend this location.
Staff very helpful and concerned about doing what they could to be sure our food was safe to eat. They do warn you they can not guarantee no cross contamination and the food was wonderful as was the service. Unfortunately, we both had a serious reaction within 30 minutes of the meal.
I’ve never had a bad experience. They seem to be well trained and my food is always marked gf
Separate fryer and knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite places for a GF burger - I don’t like gf buns but their lettuce wrap is done very well and you can add bacon! I get a bacon cheeseburger in lettuce with endless fries. They have angry orchard too. Great cheap choice for celiac!
