Got glutened here today. Sat down at the back restaurant part and asked the server for gluten free options. I received a piece of paper with clear gluten free menu options. I ordered the build your own poke bowl with the ingredients from the list, made sure to specify “NO SHOYU” and double checked with the server that there was no shoyu (soy sauce) on the dish before eating. Ate roughly 1/4 of it before I started to feel weird - there was shoyu all over the rice under the fish. This was the poke counter’s fault and not the server, probably because they were rushing. As a local I’m devastated because this was once a safe spot. Eater beware!

Highly dependent on staff knowledge and experience on whether or not things are safe. I wouldn’t recommend the take out bar as staff there are often rushing and unable to give clear answers, plus there’s the practical guarantee of cross contamination. The sit down portion of the restaurant has resulted in safer eating for me personally, especially as both servers and kitchen staff are able to take the time they need to communicate needs both amongst each other and with customers.

The servers were very helpful - they do have a limited selection of poke and toppings that are gluten free. Even though the gluten free options would have been fine, when I told them I had Celiac disease they asked the chef to specifically prepare poke for me with clean utensils and being extra careful about cross-contact. They were very helpful and took the time to talk to me extensively about the food before I ordered.

They literally had not one side or topping, only 2 poke choices and the ‘chef’ said there was nothing else on the menu that was gluten free. They epically fail for celiacs! We had to leave and find another restaurant.

One of the few places I've found poke without soy sauce. They have a list of all poke with all ingredients in them up at the counter. Lots of options to add on top, always fresh and delicious!
