I go to Red's fairly frequently. I always get the balsamic chicken flat bread. However, the last time I ordered it, I was told that it isn't really gluten free. I was informed that they use soy sauce in the marinade for the chicken. They said it has never been gluten free, and the servers are supposed to tell people. I have ordered this many times and have never been told until a few days ago. I spoke with the GM, Stephanie, and she confirmed this. She was appreciative and says that she plans to take steps to correct the situation. At this point I do not plan to return knowing that they were serving me gluten while calling it gluten free.
Are used to eat here quite successfully with my celiac. But the last couple times I have gotten sick. So I went back one more time and just had a diet Pepsi. Still got sick. Not sure what's going on with this place now. Sad, because I just love their food.
I can't eat here and be well - I've inconsistently had issues even when I mention cross-contact or prep. I may show up for drinks but not the food, sadly. My theory is they're always too slammed and busy to be able to be careful and have separate or clean surfaces.
This is a bar, first and foremost. The service was bad and the food was worse. Our meals were overcooked and served cold. When we reported this to management they were more concerned about bragging about a past reputation than working to earn our business. Quite frankly I have had better fast food experience than this establishment.
This place was fantastic! Service was great, seated immediately, 2 for 1 happy hour which included the gluten free beers and cider(Sutliff cider, made in Lisbon Iowa). The gluten free menu didn't have the most options, but there was enough of everything to choose from. No gluten free soups or appetizers other than hummus with celery and radish for dipping. They have a selection of flat breads which are just gluten free pizza crusts but they are still delicious! I had the Balsamic Chicken flat bread, very very good. It was a nice change from the few gluten free restaurants we have in the area and we will definitely be going back.
