They have an incredible BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich that is on gluten-free bread and dairy free. The bread is delicious and is basically garlic toast. You can order the bread by itself too, to just get basically gluten-free, dairy-free Texas toast.
French fries are fried in a separate fryer as well.
As at all Disney restaurants, there’s an allergy expert who will come out and talk to you when it’s your turn to order. They know all of the allergens in every dish (they have it in a binder and can show you if you want) and they are very knowledgeable about making allergen-friendly food. Requested allergen-friendly food is prepared in a separate area and comes out on a purple tray and has little flags in it to mark it as gluten-free friendly.
I got a cheese burger with gluten free bread. The bread had a butter garlic spread on top and I literally almost cried. I haven’t had garlic bread since celiac diagnosis. Let alone really good gluten free bread. I already told my family we are coming back later for dinner😂
All food came out with a flag and special color tray. And cast member confirmed the allergy with me before giving me the tray.
**Wife is celiac, not me (I do most of the food planning on vacation)** Had lunch there today. Wife got a brisket sandwich. NO up charge for the gf garlic bread. She went with cole claw instead of fries.
No issues and the staff was super attentive to everything.
The food itself was good. Is it the best bbq we’ve ever had? Of course not, but it was really good for the setting (theme park).
Amazing- very safe and a good number of options for gluten free and dairy free food!
We stopped in for lunch earlier this week and I had the North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter. It came with "Texas toast" that I was originally just going to sub out for a different side like I do at most places, but was told it's brought in from an external vendor and is vegan and GF, then toasted separately. It was really nice to have a carb with lunch, and went well with the side of pickles, the pulled pork, and the variety of sauces (all GF). My food came out on the typical purple allergy tray and had an allergy toothpick in it. I didn't have a reaction afterward either, so we'd definitely eat there again if we're back at Epcot and need a quick and safe meal.
Like almost all Disney restaurants they have an allergy menu where they list the foods safe for each allergy. If you have questions they will get you the book that lists all of the ingredients in each item. The foo domes out with an allergy marker to let you know they prepped it safely. I eat here frequently and enjoy the food and feel safe.
This was my favorite GF meal at Disney! The bbq sandwich was amazing. As with everything else at Disney, the chef talks to you before you get your food. No issues afterwards.
We’ve been wanting to eat here for a very long time. The chef was very nice, we talked about BBQ. My dad and grandma are NOT gluten free but order gluten free at Disney except for the occasional gluten treats to help keep us safe and avoid cc. We ordered what was supposed to be a gluten free cheeseburger with garlic toast for him. Gluten allergy clearly marked on our ticket. My mom and I confirmed not once, but twice more when he brought our order out on purple trays. Literally triple or quadruple confirmed.
Chef had been so nice and mentioned avoidance of cc. He even gave us extra pulled pork. While we were skeptical the garlic bread looked too good to be true—it did have an allergy stick. We both felt fine at first.
It was too good to be true, after all! The minute we boarded the Disney Skyliner, (about two hours after we had eaten) it hit my mom like a wrecking ball!
She definitely had some symptoms she has not experienced before but no doubt it was gluten.
It was so bad we had to cancel our flight (scheduled for early morning next day) and decided to take the train home instead later that evening.
EPCOT can be a bit of a frustrating place for Celiacs depending on where you are in the park, but the Smokehouse is always such a great option. Tasty and fast food, prepped separately for you by an allergy chef in a separate space, lots of (non-veg) options, and delicious food. (Brisket sandwich on the most buttery Texas toast?! Heck yes.) All the BBQ sauces are GF too. Great spot for a pit stop, and tons of open space if you have a big group, kids close to naptime, etc.
We stopped here during our visit to Epcot. They have an allergies menu and I was able to enjoy a gluten free brisket sandwich. The bread tastes delicious and the brisket was tasty. They prepare your order with care. I had a side of the tasty coleslaw. Me and My whole family enjoyed their meal, plus the price was reasonable compared to other places in Disney world.
Visited April 2023: FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! I got the beef brisket sandwich on gluten free bread with a side of fries and their house made pickles. It was absolutely delicious and filling! One of the workers said that they prepare all gf meals in a seperate part of their kitchen. I will definitely be going back for future trips!
This place was the easiest and least expensive place we ate at during our time at Disney. It was also possibly the best food we had for the price. We were able to order in the app. There was a designated allergen menu. Super easy! The bbq burger sandwich was so good and the gf bread was good and didn’t fall apart. This place is located in EPCOT.
Had an awesome burger and fries! The burger is served on garlic toast. Lots of butter / oil on the bread but it held together well and just needed a few napkins. Overall very happy that I could order ahead on the app and feel very confident I was eating a gluten free meal. Both my sister and I are celiac and had no issues.
Was pretty good. I got burger and fries. The burger was very good just very greasy and pretty garlicky and got to be too much half way through but other than that I thought it was pretty good.
We ate here two days so I got to try two different menu items. Both times I felt safe and did not get sick. However, the BBQ brisket sandwich was not for me. The “Texas toast” for the sandwich was not garlicky at all and I was left a bit disappointed. The meat was just average and the fries needed doctoring with a lot of salt. But, the 2nd day eating here I ordered the BBQ chicken. It was amazing! Super flavorful! I ordered the chicken with watermelon which was great on a hot day. Although I didn’t like the BBQ sandwich I would definitely recommend Regal Eagle for its safety and BBQ chicken.
Cold food that was not good in any way. Disney may have gluten free food but it never seems to be any good. I told my husband that we will start packing a lunch if we go to Disney World because everything we have tried gluten free has been bad and overpriced. I’d rather have a sandwich from home and maybe get a gluten free snack every now and then.
