Had the mussels and fries. Definitely nice to see a place take allergens so seriously with colour coded cutlery, plates, napkins and dedicated cooking space. Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing place!

This Italian restaurant has gluten free bread, pizza, pasta, fries (separate fryer), mussels, and several desserts!

It is not a gf dedicated facility, but they take several precautions. First, they gave me my cutlery wrapped in a red napkin with an allergy friendly sticker which also helped to communicate to all of the staff what I needed.

My order (Caesar salad with gf croutons!) and pizza came on red plates (all other dishes are white).

I asked the server if she recommends the pizza or pasta, and she said pizza. It was a great choice! It’s a thick, soft crust that reminds me of pizza hut’s pan pizza (I’m from the US, so not sure if there is a Canadian equivalent).

Overall I’m very happy with this choice!

Note that they are only open for dinner. During the day it’s a breakfast/brunch place called a different name. I showed up at lunch time and they informed me they have NO gf options.

So save it for dinner!

Absolutely flawless. They have a dedicated gluten free menu, and when I called and told them I was celiac, they knew exactly what I was talking about and guaranteed me everything on that menu was 100% gluten free, no cross-contamination. I got the Italian Putine, takeout, and it was really good. Really big portion too, and I think the prices were fair. The staff were super friendly and understanding, and I felt in good hands.

Felt very safe eating here and they take celiac very seriously and have a complete dedicated section for preparing their gluten free foods (including ovens and fryers). They also will use red plates for all gluten free items to make the staff aware. The food could be a little bland at times for certain items, but the safety trade off is worth it for me!

Ordered pizza to a hotel through Uber Eats. The pizza was fantastic. Not very big - enough for one person or maybe two. Had the Quebecois with pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms and it had great flavour and the crust had a nice light texture - similar to a regular pizza.

attention, ils sont ouvert qu'à partir de 16h00. C'est une autre concession qui servent les déjeunés et dîners sans repas sans gluten. C'est frustrant d'arriver en vacance après 3h00 de route et de devoir changer les plans. Le Bistro la Gargouille est sans gluten.

They have very specific procedures in place to prevent cross contamination. The food was great and they even had dessert options. We weren't aware at the time but it's a bring your own wine and beer restaurant.

Ustensils, plates, even water pitcher are in red color if you say you have celiacs. First question they asked us when the waiter arrived is: any food allergies?

The owner's wife is celiac and they take this very seriously.

Amazing pizza , gluten free fresh baked bun and special colour coded cutlery and dishes for all gluten free meals. Very enjoyable evening

Excellent food, excellent service, completely dedicated to serving people with celiac disease. Everything gluten free is identified with red dishes to keep them separate. Yummy hot gluten free biscuits to start and donut sticks to finish!
